Agree. On one of my Alps tours the airline lost another rider's luggage containing all his gear. I loaned him an extra leather jacket I had brought. He had to buy a helmet & gloves. Took 5 days till his stuff caught up with him.

Won't be going. A local HD rider asked if I wanted to go with him & his wife. Nice enough people but they wear absolutely zero gear (their choice, their risk, that's cool) but I just don't think I'd enjoy it.

I went with the Acer Aspire One. 6+ months of usage, took it to SFO and on a few camping trips. May not be the best, but for $260 at Walmart I'm really pleased with it.

No surging with my MC Cruise. That doesn't help you much I know, just saying the surging does not seem normal based on my experience.
