Sorry to hear the bike pains you. I just came back from a 8000kms trip. Half of that was two up in extreme heat.(8 1/2 days total) As you say following the recent IBR there was a lot of FJRs so yes the bike can do it. But if you don't fit the bike, its time to part ways!
