FYI FJR1300 hard bags fit the FJ09

Also FJ09 fit the FJR1300 . The FJ09 bags have a thinner door not allowing a helmet to fit in them . Bags are option for the 09 so if you plan on owning both you own bags already that are larger .

    I can buy a new 2012 FJR for $11,800, should I?

I like Gen 3's ( the look only ) I own a Gen 2 2012 . Bought it new in December 2011 for 14,800 plus TTL . It has been a very nice ride especially with suspension upgrades , PCV / auto tune , Muzzy exhaust / decat header . Thing that I dislike about gen 3 is USD forks , stepper motors ...

Running Through the OZARKS on a FJR

Well didn't I make a mistake . It seems it is just under 50 miles . Ill need to dig around in the CD of videos from Chuck ( rider taping on FZ1 ) As we ride lots of roads from Eureka area up into Missouri , back in to Arkansas . I could swear Chuck said hey we just covered 80 miles in less...

Running Through the OZARKS on a FJR

I see that you have not spent much time @ a track racing 1/4 mile ( not a insult just little experience ) The FJR has small cams , low rev limit , and long stroke = great 1st half , but lack luster 2nd half = low mph . Yes I have taken my FJR to a dyno , just a mere 132 hp , 98 tq . I feel a...

    Lithium Battery Blues

I have a 2 lb 5 oz 18 amp Shori in my 2012 FJR for two years no issues . Important is no static draw/drain when the bike is off . Its in the instructions/website . So a meter directly to the battery would cause a static draw that slowly drains the Li batt. Some people are not concerned...

Running Through the OZARKS on a FJR

total mile to the cabin from video start was 76 miles , ran 80 plus in the straights most of the time . After push mountain it opened up to 140 pace . through many long sweepers . 10.64 was only 3 passes , 10.70's for the first two . When you ride 9 seconds bikes often as a test rider...

Wow that is a huge price change . I cant belive the FJR is so much up north of the border. I know dealer cost down here for a 2012 unit is 13,642 . I bought my unit ( 2012 model ) for 14,600 with prep/ freight in that price . Then paid Tax / title / license to the state of another 900 n...
