    Which raising links to buy?

I have precisely these links sitting in a coffee can in my garage. No longer need them since I got the full suspension treatment at GPSuspensions a couple of years ago. Flip me a PM if you want to make an offer.

    2003 FJR

Check your battery leads first. All you have to do is take off a couple pieces of fairing. I had loose leads kill my '05 a couple times until I made the threads tighter using teflon tape. IIRC, both times had some cut outs / intermittent issues / gauge sweeps en route to total failure.

    Seattle,WA to Pleasanton, CA

One more bit of advice for this exact scenario. DO NOT FIXATE ON THE LANE-SPLITTING BIKE. Traffic is still "Live" and what worked for the bike ahead of you 2-3 seconds ago is very much subject to change. Watch the cages, watch general traffic flow, stay off the lead bike's 6 by a comfortable...

    Some tire info

Anytime I get new tires, I tape a post-it note (I know they already have sticky stuff - they blow off if not taped on) on my steering stem nut that says NEW TIRE @ ###### miles. Nice reminder the next time I get on the bike if I haven't had a chance to scrub in yet.

    Quincy-LaPorte/Bucks Lake Roads

Just the rear. Not even to wear bars on the front, yet - although I imagine chasing you and brother Sean around the hills will dramatically shorten whatever life span that front has left in it.

    Low RPM Misfire/Hesitation

joebiodiesel, Been enjoying your write-ups (way beyond my mech skills). Just curious, though, why cruise at 1700 RPM? Despite this bike's great low-end torque, once off the line, I tend to keep the revs at at least 3200 RPM so I can accelerate crisply w/o feeling like I'm lugging the engine...

    New Tire @ 4700 miles

For the first 80K or so, my tire choices were: Azaros (replace every 4K miles ~8-10 sets), Storms (replace every 4K miles ~5 sets), one and only 1 set of PR2s at about 52K (Hated the lack of stick, don't know or care what mileage I got out of the slippery bastages - first time I've dumped a...

I hit the "+" button when trying to hit reply... mental lapse I was kinda proud of that mix of evil/good sentiments - maybe I should call Hallmark about a career change.

    Tires

After many many many Avons, I'm loving the Diablo Strada on the front. The tire threads you want to look for, though are from HaulinAshe - search Tires with his forum name. He goes through enough tires and tracks the wear on each set...
