Since we're just speculating, I'm going to say it's an ignition coil starting to go bad. So, time to change plugs and inspect each coil very carefully for insulator burn through to ground. You might even find carbon tracking down the side of the spark plug insulator if the offending plug is worn...

For me, hands down, the Yamaha FZ1. I literally could not work an FJR into the family budget with two daughters in school at the time, so I brought home a new FZ1 in 06 and rode it for eleven years. I wish I had it back, now that the girls are through college. BTW, I still have a 78 XS650...

My family and I attended the EOM in Boone, NC a bunch of years ago. It was fun, and exciting to see all the members and these beautiful machines. I've managed to never be bike-less in the last five decades, but have still not actually even ridden an FJR yet. Sat on a couple, that's all. One day.

I rode to my local dealer last Sat and asked if they had a new red FJR in stock yet. The salesman said... "we have a blue one!" It was a new 2012 still on the floor, and still priced at full retail! So... not likely they will get a 14 any time soon... who knows??? I'm with FredW on this, too...
