Motorcycle deaths continue to edge up

That report just about says it all; riders who don't wear a helmet are gonna 'pay the hard way' in a get off, every time. They'll never change, though; if they do survive a helmetless crash, they wear it like a badge of honor. WTF? I can't worry about them; I do feel sorry, though, for their...

    Side case destroyed

-could the body shop have possibly put it in one of those 'heat booths' (for lack of a better term) after painting it in an attempt to 'speed cure' the paint? Just curious. Or maybe they tried to strip it first with paint stripper...methylene chloride on ABS plastic = BAD, IIRC. Time to...

    Billy Lane Accident?

Yep, 'ole Billy needs to go down...hard. It's been my experience picking up *******s like that, guys like him never stop committing DWI/DUI until they are physically locked up; obviously he's no exception with his previous conviction. His '4 lawyers' will see that their fees equal his bank...

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Wow...I've never used sealant, had thought about it...until now. Great information. Excellent updated avatar! Heal, boy, heal..good boy! Hey, get off my leg! (pathetic attempt at humor to help with your pain). Now back to the thread....

Look like a Mercedes-Benz 'E-class' rear end...not for me, (but then I am biased toward my V46)..

    croc hunter

What I read was that the Aussie gov't has the tape, as it is standard procedure in death investigations... and if I understood it correctly, would be released back to Discovery Channel. Discovery Channel said they would do whatever his wife wanted, i.e. air 'part' of the show he was filming, or...

Kawasaki GTR1400 - Son of Concours

Randy beat me to it...that might be a concern for many; about 1-2 yrs. ago a guy wrote in to CycleWorld bitching about the cost of his VFRs VTEC valve adjustment costing ~ $500. CycleWorld defended the dealer, mentioning the extensive procedure...could be a rude awakening for some owners if the...

    The end of PDP

+1...It will be interesting to see if Yamaha finally 'gets it' that the FJR is a success...maybe if the Kawi is truly readily available, that will turn the table....I'm not so sure. When I was shopping a couple of years ago, not a single Houston Kawi dealer had a ZZR1200 to look at..they all had...

    SkooterG munches Playa dust!

    Damn! I mean OUCH! Glad to hear you're 'walking & talking'....it great you had help available; that was fortunate. I see TWN's already got you covered on a a ride...what a guy! Get well soon, as the saying goes, and until then, remember: V - I - C - O - D - I - N.

    Pants

@JBurleigh: :dribble: MY EYES! Draggin jeans for me...otherwise I'd have to ride with an intravenous line running..kinda hard to countersteer with an IV pole in the way... But to look really sharp at the local HD hangout, maybe you should go for a pair of these!

Where is everyone mounting their aux power bus?

Yep, mounted a Bluesea terminal block under the pillion... Ran separate 10 gauge wires using an ignition-controlled relay (which I housed in the fairing near the battery) the relay you see in the photo above is for my horns, positioned ahead of a signal-dynamics back-off module...

    New bikee me likee

Like the looks of that new Tiger...but, what about luggage? With that high-mounted pipe in the way, looks like a right-side case would have limited capacity..or perhaps only a top case will be offered?

Kawasaki GTR1400 - Son of Concours

I'll be looking forward to sitting on one at the CycleWorld International show when it's in Houston again in November (assuming Kawi has one there). Last year they had no less than (3) ZX-14s to check out, all in different colors..it will be interesting to see if Suz brings an updated Hayabusa...

    120mph ticket

Gary, Gary, Gary...you got that wrong...its the 'cross bar motel' :D Lets see..State Trooper got her, eh? In TX, you could make a court appearance, plead no contest and *very politely* ask the judge for some relief in the fine..I have seen this work, first hand....HOWEVER, not for 120 in a...

2 Year old killed by Harley

What a tragedy....incidents such as that many times split up marriages and families... Letting a toddler run around unattended = Bad Idea It would be interesting to know further details of the mechanics of how it happened...as Geezer said, that kid's weight shouldn't have budged that bike a...

    Throttle Spring Danger

-having a stuck throttle would really play havoc in the 'ole service dept., too: "Mr. Smith? Yes, this is Bill, the service manager at Pheerless Yamaha...we have a problem..our tech crashed your FJR1300 on his test ride out of the bay following service...we found the cause to be a stuck...
