    Rad the mechanic

Great reminder to check the easy stuff first. But you still found that crushed wire that might have been trouble later. All's well that ends well.

New mileage record on a single tank of gas

Thanks Ian, haven't pushed it past 250 yet, (reserve starts just over 200 on mine), but when I fill there is 1/2 gallon left inside. Looks like Jeff is currently "cruisin Ashe" Enjoy!!

    Easy, cheap hydration system

Glad the V worked in the wet for ya. I swapped back to stock before the wet season to keep cooler. Cant wait to get back to the mountains! Skyways jug holder is working well here.

    Evaporative cooler vest

Been using this. https://www.ridecool.com/ The $50 one zips up to the neck and feels great. Lasts 3 hours tops in this high humidity. comes with a heavy duty ziplock. Cant speak to the longevity of it yet.

    Charleston Firefighters

Toe Right up the road from me. That was a good stop they made and sprinklers were the key. As an aside, I was at that same address in '78 as a rookie when the original building burned to the ground. We were on the roof to vent, roof was to soft and we bailed out. It self vented 5 minutes later...

I got passed by a Harly in a curve

Called a motor sergeant yesterday to clarify what they were running, it was only stage ll apparently, no cam. So I did mispeak on that. They now run the 103 stock and have no problems, the six speed seems closer ratio. We are still stuck with 06's.

I got passed by a Harly in a curve

WW Your getting wadded up over this, so I will check tommorrow and see what exactly the lease entails. I have been told by two of our PD guys they had a stage 3 installed. This was in reply to why their bikes were so much quicker. It may be on the QT, and not on the lease agreement, and I am sure...

    First Aid Kit

All above are good ideas, I would suggest you tailor the kit to yourself based on your needs for meds (Nsaids, epi kit, visine etc.). When you get into trauma supplies, the kit could get bulky quickly. Maybe a triangular bandage for a sling, some 4" kling bandaging with some sterile 4x4...

I got passed by a Harly in a curve

Our motor men get the stage 3 kit with the lease agreement.Bigger air filter, FI chip, and pipes. So the 125 mph is easy. As TWN said, handling is another issue. Vibration is terrible unless set up precisely by the dealer. I think the motor mounting alignment to the frame is critical. The motor...

    Sargent World Sport Seats

https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...+'06'07 I believe this is the most current thread, a search will find more. The seat is adjustable to low-high like stock. Although probably not as plush as a custom built, it is a huge improvement over stock. Also 1/2 the money and waiting time.
