Someone has to keep Scott in check, so Rob & I have volunteered our services for this trip. We are meeting him in Amos Que. Chester(KSFJR) is also joining us because we weren't sure if we would have enough blood to feed all the blackflies and mosquitoes.

Planning a trip through the UP of Michigan

Gunny on M-119 "Tunnel of Trees". I rode it late last fall and it was clean and twisty. Trees are right up to the edge of the road in some places. I think you have to hit it at the right time. I was heading south in the afternoon with no traffic in my direction but long lines of cagers and...

How many significant others ride their own bike?

Hi Nate, I have experienced the same "roaring" noise. I also have an HJC helmet, but I don't think the helmet is to blame. When I ride my wife's cruiser, it's not dead quiet, but its quite noticeably quieter. I took the windshield off the FJR and found it to be much quieter. Try standing on...

    Tank Bag Electrical Port

Hi Gizmo, The black box is a 100 watt power inverter that I want to use to power up my camera battery, cell phone or mp3 player while I'm driving. The cord disconnects from the inverter and can be pulled through the port when you remove the tank bag.

    Tank Bag Electrical Port

Here is a cheap and easy way to put an electrical port in your tank bag. Total cost was $0.00 and time spent was 30 min. The idea is to squeeze 2 rubber washers between 2 steel washers. I cut the screw holes in the rubber washers with a hole punch and cross slit the centre to allow wires...

    Quebec/Ontario ride planning?

I haven't firmed up any plans yet, but I was toying with the idea of a BB Gold on the way out. I'm kinda limited on my vac time and I'd rather spend more time in the mountains than in the prairies. 1500 miles puts me about 15 hours from Nakusp, so I either do a 24 hour ride followed by a 15...
