6th Annual West Coast “Because We Can” Ride-To-Eat

Well, considering its only 15 minutes from the house, and at this point looks like I have the day off, I guess I can venture down and enjoy some Far Western faire. PM Sent.

    Starcom1 Digital and wireless Headset

I've been an Autocom guy for the last 5 years, but right now, as mentioned already, they're US availability, support, etc. is questionable. I would much prefer to be wireless, but that technology just hasn't got there yet................until maybe now. This looks pretty good, and close to...

GoPro Hero Video Camera Group buy

Just placed my order today, and she told me that we were close to getting the required numbers. Not sure what that meant if some folks have already received theirs. Regardless, good price, look forward to getting it when it comes in. Thanks.

Honda out of DMG/AMA Superbike 2010

+1 I'm on several boards, and usually don't get involved in all the pro vs con AMA/DMG discussions as most forums breed negativity. But I like the maturity being displayed in this thread and have seen previous posts in some of the AMA/DMG threads from some of the same members who have posted...

Warm n Safe / First Gear Heated gear?

Wife and I both have Warm n Safe full jacket liners and no problems. The fit needs to be snug for it to warm properly, but that is the case for any heated jacket. We also have the heat trollers and they work flawlessly. I received a heat troller that was defective but they replaced it...

quick help needed. Mounting new tire.

So....I mount my own tires, and have been looking at Dyna Beads, but not heard of Ride On yet. It looks pretty simple. Do you balance the wheel (without a tire mounted) first? or do you not even bother with that?

    Y.E.S question

The only clarifier here is that the second owner must be on the Yamaha books as being the "official" owner of the bike. When I purchased YES through D&H, they came back to me with the fact Yamaha still had the previous owner on their books as being the owner of my VIN #. I had to go to a...

Dealership says no to "unwind throttle spring"

I just did it a couple weeks ago. No big deal. Kind of hard getting the right tool in there to unhook it, but it just spins around and catches again. Made a difference on mine for sure. There are enough folks who have done it so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Even *more* stupidity dribbling from the open mouths of DMG

Actually he's been running Superbike on a GSXR. Now he'll be on the Buell in both classes. You're probably right about him not paying the $40K though. He's their privateer wonder boy!

Even *more* stupidity dribbling from the open mouths of DMG

Oh no, take a look at this: https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=37323 I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this. DMG will have to justify their decision somehow, which will be quite interesting to listen to. I, like you, sit in the middle of the DMG issue. The racing has...

    No-Mar Changer

Yes, and Yes. Probably the two biggest things that made it easier for me too. Another tip would be if you're mounting during the day.......let the new tires sit in the sun for a little while.

    No-Mar Changer

Yeah, agree with everyone here. Had mine for little more than a year, and have changed probably 7 sets, some for friends.......and its great. Follow their video and watch what they do, and it actually is pretty easy. Once I have both wheels off, I can perform the whole process, including...

He reaally picked a bad time to blow his line

Yeah, we don't know yet how much experience he may or may not have had. At only 21 years old, it couldn't be much. This corner is a mile from my house, I know it well. We do know the bike still had paper plates, so it was new to him. Way to tragic to think about for everyone connected.

    Tech Inspection Miller Motor Speedway

From my experiences, you should be fine. What kind of tires are those.......Look maybe like Diablo Strada's ? It really all depends on the folks who are putting on the track day, or school. You didn't specify exactly what you are doing and who it is with. From the numerous track days I've been...

FJRForum members help at the AMA Superbike Races

Yep, had a good time. Always interesting to meet individuals from a Forum and place personalities to their web version. I brought two friends with me so they paired us up, and paired Bluesman, Fairlaner, DJ, and Jeff together to cover the 2 main entrances to the track side of pit wall. The wife...

    Road Atlanta Volunteers

Yeah, myself and two friends I brought along had a great time. Would have been nice to switch ends with the other guys after lunch, but I guess they were star struck and didn't want to switch. Was a busy couple days. Drove back down on the FJR with the wife on Saturday and got to watch the...

WSBK Qatar --- SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

Agreed. Nori has a great sense of humor, which sometimes doesn't come out well in his delivery, but I thought he was clearly trying to be funny and give Ben a humurous ***. I love the guy myself. It will be a good season, for sure.
