Need help finding a new black cherry at dealer

Saw both a new 07 A & AE this past Thurs (10/18/07) on the showroom floor at Reno's Yamaha, Aprilla in Kansas City, Missouri. 1-866-936-8900. The owner is "Steve". Bought an 05 & 07 FJR there. Ron

Had an Alaskan Malamute named NaNook. The neighbors always looked at me funny when I was out in the yard calling and looking for "Nookie" True story.

    Datel volt meter

Depending on what other accessories are fed from the same circuit from the battery it should be fairly close. It will actually be measuring the voltage at the accessories in your tank bag. With a light load such as radar detector, or intercom, mps player, etc. I would be surprised if it read...

    Side case interior lights

I found a small battery powered push to light up 3 LED unit at Lowes. It attaches with double sided foam tape. I put it on the inside of my Givi trunk lid. I think it cost less than $10 & I'm very happy with it. It is probably an inch & half or two in diameter. Good luck. Ron

    Couple of Questions

As usual Ion did a very good job with his writeup. I agree & would add that if you do the scheduled TBS and perhaps add a "Throttle Rocker" (Check the classified adv. of your favorite M/C magazine) most of the buzziness will be eliminated or be less troublesome. Ride safe. Ron

    PCIII on a new FJR?

Concur-See if you have any issues (either known or unknown) before making any changes. Personally I'd give it a few thousand miles before installing any modifications. Non-performance mods such as CB's, GPS, etc are another story. Best of luck. Ron

    Ya'wl Be Careful Out There

Doesn't have to be with the voltages in the lighning range. The voltage can arc through miles of atmosphere. A few inches(no pun intended)/feet between droplets are insignificant in the scheme of things. He's lucky to be alive!

Gen 1 to Gen 2 owners

The heat on the 05 bothered me when riding in 90 degrees & above. I did not do any mods for heat. My bike was just hot to ride-it did not overheat & the fan cycled on & off appropriately. As said above there is a night & day difference in Gen I & II bikes with regard to air/heat handling...

Gen 1 to Gen 2 owners

05 before & an 07 now: 07 seat seems a bit harder to me. 07 feels a bit more refined in the suspension dept. 07 heat managment system is MUCH better At 4,500 miles on the 07 (and 22K on the 05) I was thinking the other day that I had yet to accidently lift the front wheel on the 07. That...

    MCN FJR survey

Thanks for posting the MCN link. I would like to have seen a little more distinction between Gen I & Gen II issues in the article. I do hope that Yamaha comes through with some relief for the altitude surge issues in the 07's. Overall for a general M/C audience I think the article was fairly...
