That would be a quick trip from where I live now. The problem is that I just accepted a job in Georgia. I will be moving in the middle of July. It's gonna be quite the climate change, but more days of riding :-)

Good info. I also like any extra weight lower, so I usually only put extra clothes and lighter stuff in my trunk bag.

I have to agree with you guys, but I put on a motorcycle safety course tonight and two of the guys there had ST1300s with racks and said they would rather have them than trunks. I like being able to lock my stuff up and remove it if need be.

I like that idea. I am on the light side too and maybe an extra nipple would help. I think I might paint mine black and then put a piece of red wire tha tlooks like a fuse coming out of one end.
