As you can see, we've got a pretty good group planning on coming to this little Ramble.

As much as I'd like to ride with everybody, I think it would be safer and be better riding if we split off into groups of 4-6 riders per group.

That being said, I will need some people to volunteer to be the first riders of a group. I will lead a group, for no other reason except that I posted up the event. I come to this area about once a year and have a blast every time. A number of you guys ride this area regularly and would hope that you guys could help me out with this. I would prefer people who have been ride leaders before in small groups if possible.

I will lead a group, Bryguy has volunteered to lead a group...so I need one more ride leader so we can split up into three groups.

I am a pretty middling rider so Bryguy will lead the first group and I will lead either the second or third group. I plan on us taking off in 10 min. increments to provide some spacing between the groups.

We will talk at the motel on Saturday night of group assignments. I can't possibly know everybody's comfortable pace, so we'll do the best we can with this. In any event, everybody will ride their own pace in some of the best riding in the midwest. :yahoo:

See you guys there. :clapping:

Mark...I nominate Denny(drc32-0). By the way Dave(scrapedup) and his brother(Gray Ray) will not be joining us, according to an IM that I got from Gray Ray. That being said, we may be able to do 2 groups...one of 6 & one of 7

I got a message from Denny that he would rather ride at the back of the pack as he has not been out much.

In any event, I respect his desire to not lead, and understand it. Denny has helped out immensely during all these Rambles with leading and routing...so I am good with that.

Somebody else will need to step up this year.

Thanks for letting me know about Dave and Gray Ray...

I will volunteer to lead a group. I can't guarantee the exactness of the route as I primarily use a "butt" GPS. Hey Marty! I'll take a set of the turn-by-turns.

Mark,

My window of opportunity is opening, slightly. Marty emailed me about the room today, thanks. I have that appointment at noon on Saturday, won't catch up with you guys before you hit the hotel.

Can you send me the GPX file and I'll load it, and try to figure out a good place to break contact at; I'll have to be home Sunday night.

Wayne

BTW, I assume that most are just using their own tankbag map because I have only had two riders ask for a gpx file.

Let me know, as I will send them out tomorrow night...

Thanks Bob...we'll talk on Saturday night.

Does anybody have an extra bed in their room ? Will share expenses. I am going to try to arrive about 7:30 Sat. night. I don't snore too loud.

I will have one open Sunday night, but it is spoken for on Saturday.

Bob

For anyone who can't make the ride or would prefer to solo I put a copy of the gps files here. The green arrow on the left lets you download a number of different formats (Garmin, TomTom, Google, etc.).

I don't have any association with SundayMorningRides.com but I like their site. It seems their purpose is to catalog gps routes and make motorcycling more fun for everyone. In my book that's a great cause.

Enjoy and please pass along the karma.

Man...if only I had this information sooner...then I wouldn't have spent so much time on routing...

Good find Mark...looks kinda like my route.

Joe, I'v had it with those two bed wetters. I found a room at a B & B in Caldwell. Shooting to be at the Bestwest at 7:30 Sat. night. I figured that if I missed this I would be kicking myself all winter.

See everybody Sat. night.
