And, the R/R remains the same. It does look like the R/R has moved back up to the Gen I position. I'll know more after visiting a Farkle Site in Newburyport Ma on Sat morning.
I read this <somewhere> too. Can't find the reference though??

The R/R on my '14 is up front by the glove box. It freed up a lot of room under the seat tray you can actually see from one side of the bike to the other now. It appears there was some slight widening going on up front (GenIII), there is a lot more room beside (outboard) of the battery and behind it, similarly there is more room on the left side.......... it's probably a GenIII thing, I wouldn't expect much would change up there for '16. We'll find out at tech day when we rip Joe's all apart and go for test rides, etc.

I find myself constantly reading this thread (like most of us), but I also hate this thread. It's gonna for sure get me into trouble.
Judging by how many from this forum are buying this bike, I think it's a pretty good indicator how the rest of ST crowd might be viewing this latest "evolution" of the feejer. I know it sure has got me thinking.
Not necessarily just the '16, but the Gen III bikes in general...so many good changes, particularly among the ES models, turn the FJR into an even sweeter machine. Compared to my '07, my '15 is butter smooth and more refined in every aspect, making it a very comfortable machine. I suppose the 6th gear will probably draw more into the fold; it's a non-issue for me, but I do like those LED headlights. I'm only 10k miles into my Gen III love affair, so it'll probably be on Gen IV or V before I feel compelled to renew the relationship.

I know I saw it on here and I don't want to call because I know they are busy...

D&H pricing on the '16 A and ES please....

Thanks.

$17218 at Alcoa Good Times in Knoxville, plus ttl, for an ES.

This quote was buy phone, in person may be different. I have yet to discuss a deal with my local dealer but D&H's pricing will be brought up.

Motorcycledaily.com has a review of both '16 models and a really good graph of the gearing differences between a '15 and '16. The first 3 gears are pretty much the same, with differences so minor they probably cannot be detected by the rider, 4th and 5th gearing on the '16 is very close to 4th and 5th gearing on a GEN1, and 6th gear, as previously reported, is 10 percent higher than 5th gear on a '15. Very positive evaluation both on the gearbox and the entire bike.

I got mine for less than that OTD
I really don't want to travel 200+ miles to make a deal, hopefully my local dealer will take my threats seriously and match what you got or do better.

Right now there are still leftovers on the floor and they're reluctant to get a new model in. Nobody within 200 miles has them on the floor anyway and one dealer I was at yesterday didn't seem interested in getting one at all because "they are not a big seller", would be glad to order one though.

Much like Mike I'm torturing myself reading this thread. This site has taken a lot of money out of my bank account and can't find an address to send a bill to. Right now it's only a list of Farkles, but adding 2016 to that list won't make whoever gets it very happy.

A = $14,599
I stopped by my local dealer, Westfield Powersports, and they have on the floor a '16A for $13,999+450 handrking = $14,449They also have a '15ES for $13,399+450 = $13,849.

Thats the deal I'm after.
That's pretty much the deal I made ($16,067 +TTL) and they're taking my '13 in trade so I will also save some sales tax. Any dealer that's interested in selling a lot of bikes will make a similar deal--some dealers have a different mindset and want to hold out for top dollar, especially when they think they have something exclusive and hard to come by, and will not sell a lot of bikes but will make more on each one. Just different business models.
