Based on their recommendation, I think I'll get one. Oh wait--I already have one! :yahoo:

<stuff deleted about Gen 1's deleted. Your welcome>

It's nice to see the Feej get some recognition for what we all knew all along.

Two thumbs up Yamaha, ya done good!

Any FJR is still comparative and competitive with any of the ST bikes on the market today. They've added some nice things that I like on my Gen2 but the riding experience is just as good on any FJR.

I like how they list the self-proclaimed "FJR1300 Owners Association" as the first resource for the bike. That place has less activity than RadioHowie's pants when the manatees have migrated away, they've let its domain name registration lapse, and it will become ad-supported in 2012.

Never even heard of the "FJR1300 Owners Association". Somebody should get with those guys and have them host a national meet where FJR owners from all over the country continent can meet up and ride great roads together....Gosh, I really wish someone would do that kind of thing. :p

Oh...And that article doesn't tell me anything I don't already know. Even after 4 years of ownership, I still love this bike.

Yeah, just wish they would have used a picture with someone who knew how to corner. Looks like he's trying to lay it over so he can claim he doesn't have chicken strips, heh.

I was thinking that, but what you don't see, just out of frame to the inside of the turn, is a 42-inch high wall. He's just keeping his head up so he can see over it . . . . .

That's gotta be it, doncha think?

As for the value listed, as far as I'm concerned it means I've been riding free for four years. I gave $5500 for my '03 back in June 2007. Couldn't be happier with the bike, and it became my daily driver just a few weeks after getting it, and it still is. Unless I just have to carry more than the bike can hold, the bike takes me wherever I'm going, locally or elsewhere.

Impossible, can't be done. Go over to the Yellow Board and mention this Forum and you will get banned. Well, it used to work like that, since I've been banned I can't go over there and see. Historical Relationship discussed.

Yep, "Holy Blast from the past" Batman.

Thanks Travis for setting up this site...as the other site kept going down and losing important data.

Big Yawn for Us But, I'm real glad that's in Print for the Whole World to See! :clapping:

I just hit the 5 year mark and I love my FJR more now than the day she first pulled into my Garage!

Looks like Cycle World approves of my new aquisition. I have put almost 1K miles on it the first month...well, the family has. I haven't gotten to ride it much.

Yeah, I got banned by the Yellow Board back in 06 for linking a question to an answer on this forum.. no regets.

So yes, nice to see the bike getting good press. Folks still ask me what model it is...or what I ride...when I tell them you can see they are clueless about the FJR, although many pretend they heard of it...lol.

I've noticed the FJR has gained a lot of respect. At bike night I get a lot of people just oggling at the bike and coming up saying they wished they had one. Most of those who say that are on BMW's, but at the same time many BMW riders will not talk to you if you're not riding a BMW and wearing an Aerostitch jacket, funny I think.
