Barring severe weather, going to ride up to Alison's in Kennebunkport to get the best clam chowder east of Alaska! Will be an early enough start from Central Mass to get there for the lunch hour. I have to work later that night so basically will be a ride up, eat , and return kind of mission. But, I guarantee it to be a good time and most likely the best chowder you've ever eaten!

Hell, even old Bust can come now that his mechanical woes have all been solved! If anyone is interested for the ride and wants to meet up somewhere, that works for me. :) Here's a teaser: Last years solo run

THIS RIDE IS FOR DECEMBER 10

He got his vibrating butt plug working again?

thank god, he was going through withdrawls!
Yes, but currently using as a dildo as he can't afford the batteries right now. Sorry, Bust, I know that was "below the belt" (pun intended :p ) but you're the proud new owner of a Marine, so suck it up and get used to it!

Here's hoping **** gets turned around fer ya :drinks: .... glad your wife knocked some sense into ya.

How was the chowda CJ? Wish I had seen this earlier-this could have been doable

Sorry, George, must not have been clear enough in the subheading..... this ride is slated for December 10th. Fixed the first post. Can ya make that day?

It has been soo long since I have chowda worthy of the dcarver palette.

but you pups are too far for me go.

Especially since I don't have any heated gear.

If there is no snow on the road, I might be able to make it.

(I thought you were going there today too. Glad I didn't just show up at Allisons today!!)

OK - one of you phookers send me a can of the 'best chowda' and I'll make it worthwhile to yah..

The crap we have out here just sucks. :angry2:

Well CJ, you got me too, I also get an F for reading and comprehension. I saw your post and ran out to see if I had enough rubber on my rear tire to make it to Kennebunkport. It was kind of back-handed good news that I didn't think my tire would make it or I would have been sitting at a table waiting for you. If the weather holds up and I can find tire money I'll be there on 12/10.

Yup, go dig some clams. ;) And leave those bearded ones alone!!

Decent chowder has to be made with fresh clams (never use those canned minced ones).

Here's a Yankee trick we use: After digging up your clams put them into the fridge overnight in a big bowl of seawater sprinkled liberally with cornmeal. The live clams will eat the cornmeal which will help purge any sand stuck in their short digestive tracts. This works equally well for steamers (Mmmm... steamers!) or clams going into the chowder.

You never cease to amaze me - really.

I missed my CC today - but had a wonderful ride anyway. The CC spot in Cayucous was waay too busy and I decided to ride instead of eat.. Knowing their CC was inferior just didn't make my superior palette process - so ride on past I did.

A December ride for chowda sounds great. I keep thinking I put the Feeje away for a long cold winter. I guess when I am 100 miles away and get stuck behind a plow truck then I should put it away.

My most humblest of apologies for not making it a more apparent ride date.... also glad that karma was on your side, Fred and Alan! I wouldn't have felt bad, just jealous that you'd have gotten to get up there twice!

Looking forward to this ride.... praying for no snow between now and then!
