Naturally I would adjust that ten count for Pretty People such a Joseph - MCML and the ever lovely Miss Mary Ellen, but those UGLY BASTARDS from the Specific Northwet are shit out of luck ese!

Damn.

Your plan does fit nicely with my idea of taking the beautiful little Mini-Me for a winter ride.....

But I have commitment issues and you need your peeps lined up.

Have fun, Papa! And play safe
Saludos MEM, Mi querido encantadora Maria Elena, por supuesto, siempre habrá espacio para tales una dama hermosa al igual que la miel! Recuerdos, Papa Chuy
Huh?!

Are you talkin' dirty to me, Papa? :p

Lynn and I are in.

For those of you who haven't heard, Lynn retired as the City Cerk of Goodyear in early August. We decided to build a house and move to Prescott. Then, Lynn's friend Liz, the City Clerk in Prescott moved to Flagstaff. Well, you guessed it, Lynn is now the Prescott City Clerk, we sold our house, and we live in Prescott now.

Two weeks ago I went to Banner Del Webb for a short vacation. They whacked off the top of my leg above the knee with a machete, then whacked off the bottom of my leg with a machete. The Doc then took a couple of metal pieces that looked like Enrique's busted water pumps, fashioned them into a new knee, and put gobs of JBWeld between everything and glued it all together.

I am getting better everyday, but it is a struggle. Can't wait to get back on the bike. I should be fully recovered for La Paz.
Sounds great Jim, You and Lynn are in like Flynn! NOTE: This makes the 7th bike, only 3 more openings!

My family said this will be the winter of El Niño. Be ready for rain in Baja.
I agree with mi Sobrino Enrique, expect some rain in Baja California Norte and bring your rainsuits.

But I have been riding to Dos Cabos for forty years now and I would be totally shocked if we find any rain in Baja California Sur whatsoever in late January and early February. August and September is a different story though, the Hurricanes will be raking the Two Capes region regularly with heavy rains.

However, when you cross into Sur at Guerrero Negro you have entered Desierto de Vizcaino and it has not rained there for a hundred years. It will be cool riding though, wear warm and dry gear!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico weather for the last twenty years.

I would like to tag along on this trip, my wife is leaning toward flying. I have a passport, do I need an endorsement for driving in Mexico?

For the Baja, all you need is passport and Mexican tourist visa, obtained at the border. No special license and no Banjercito.
El Jefe is correct Darrel, but you need a Mexican Insurance Policy. AZ Beemers and FJR Forum have used https://www.mexpro.com for many years with great success!

I'd like to get in on this? Can I do that even if mi mujer no se puede?  Or is it a couples only trip?

I have not ridden Baja. Woud my 1150 RT or my 650 GS (single) be better for this ride?

So far, only couples have signed up for our ride to Dos Cabos; but, as long as you commit before this ride is SOLD OUT you are welcome to join us as single!

There are currently only TWO spots left open for this ride, it'll be SOLD OUT by tomorrow.  Four of us are riding F800GS's, rest are on R1200GS's and an FJR.

put me on the list....

R
Sir Richard, you are on the Baja Ride List!

PLEASE NOTE: This Ride is now officially SOLD OUT, Fairlaner followed up with another AZB Club Member who phoned in his reservation and we have the maximum ten riders for Mexico Ruta Uno!

Right you are KJ, only time I've been stabbed was by a Nicaraguan girlfriend; she was a hottie though, still miss her!

Que lastima mi Sobrino Enrique, SkooterG had his heart set on your flying HIM down to La Paz; Dios Mio, GreggieM will be so sad and heartbroken ese!
Doesn't look like his heart is broken. His mind perhaps, but not his heart. ;D
My illegitimate bastard Son SkooterG is definitely not playing with a full deck these days, his Mother and I are just going to have to soon get him into some counseling! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!

Here is an excellent Baja California Ride Video produced by AZ Beemer Club Members Tom and Lynn Matthews. They own Turkey Creek Motorcycle Tours based in Banamichi, Sonora, Mexico. Since this FJR Forum Baja Ride is now "Sold Out", I highly recommend riding the Baja with the Matthew's on one of their organized tours!

Don, I mentioned the Baja trip to my Hondapotomous riding friend here at Microchip. They (he and wife) are interested. They would both ride down.

They are maybe a 50% commit at this time.

Later, Brian.

BB, we are going to need two separate Ride Groups with two separate Ride Leaders. I can lead one if you can lead the other. I will ask Enrique to ride sweep in my group and you get pinche cabron SkooterG to ride sweep in your group.

Dr. Bob and others who missed the "Sold Out" cut off have been calling me and I have been unable to turn them down.

With your GW friends we are now up to fourteen bikes, not counting you and I. Also, to make flying into SJD work: We are going to have to spend five nights on the Two Capes, not the four nights I'd originally proposed. Has to be so, ese!

The trip will now extend into Tuesday, February 5, no way we can avoid this because we need 4 days coming and going!

Two very important messages for the Baja Run!

Numero Uno: https://classic.mapquest.com/maps?city=Chandler&state=AZ&address=1061+N+Amber+St&zipcode=85225-8718&country=US&latitude=33.32212&longitude=-111.80997&geocode=ADDRESS On Sunday, October 21 there will be a flight booking and lodging reservation party at Casa de Stanley located at 1061 N. Amber St. in Chandler starting at 10am. Here's the map and I'm at the Northwest corner of Ray and Cooper Roads. 480-440-4666 [email protected]

Numero Dos: After consultation with my long time Mexico Riding Amigo Brian "El Jefe" Boles" we're just going to spend 4 nights at Dos Cabos; BUT, we will spend them all at the same hotel somewhere on the corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. This way our Las Reinas (the Queens) and our Las Princesas (the Princesses) can bring along as much crapola as they care to! When the Ladies were informed they were limited to the space of one top case and one saddlebag only, we were informed that there would not be much "Nookie-Time" on this trip unless we changed that mandate. So, we'll go out on day trips from our base resort. Easy-peasy since the farthest destination is La Paz at 136 miles and Todos Santos is only 54 miles from mid-point Cabo-San Jose!

Atencion Fairlaner, McRide, juniorfjr and MEM: Sir Richard I have your phone number and will call you when the flights are confirmed and the resort stay is set, all flights from PHX to SJD go through LAX so Karen can join the Arizona Ladies there; por favor, then pass that information on to McRide. juniorfjr, I will send you an FJR Forum Private Message immediately when I have this info or send me your phone/e-mail and I'll contact you quicker. Mi querida Maria Elena, Darling you know tu Papa Chuy Viejo has your number!

So what are the dates now?

R
Does it matter? He will change them at least 5 more times before the trip. :glare:
Saludos Fairlaner, did the cat just throw up a fur ball or did SkooterG say something? The departure date for the Riders is still on Friday, January 25.

If we can determine that we can all obtain our Mexican Tourist Permit Visas at Tecate, then that is where the Arizonans and Californians will meet up at.

If we can't get them at Tecate, you'll need to get yours at Otay Mesa Crossing and we'll get ours at the Mexicali Crossing; we meet up in Tecate noonish.

Our Ladies are still flying down on Monday, January 28. Las Mujeres are currently undecided on whether they want to stay for just four nights or the five.

Dear Dickbreath GreggieM, BB and I'll need for you to ride sweep in El Jefe's 2nd group. You weren't butt raped on your first Mexico trip, you'll do fine!
