Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt! KJ, it is Hagar! Sammy turns 65 on October 13, I turn 64 on October 28. He invited me down for his B-Day Bash at Cabo Wabo, but I sent Kenny Chesney!

Can we do a double straw chaser Blue Margarita/ Takillya Sunriser like Sammy?

Seriously sounds awesome, would love to celebrate a fellow Yami/Bemmer owners B-Day :yahoo:

BUMP REMINDER!

A week from today on Sunday 10/21 will be the Flight Reservation Booking Party for the Ladies flying down to Cabo San Lucas Aeropuerto, the gals all wanted to ride down on the same plane and share the shuttle to the Dos Cabos Resort.

Also, we will be booking our stay at Dos Cabos Resort. Whatever Resort the Ladies agree on, will be the one we choose. Plus, we will make the decision whether to stay four or five nights at Dos Cabos. Fairlaner, MEM and Fred, I'll call!

Numero Uno: https://classic.mapqu...geocode=ADDRESS On Sunday, October 21 there will be a flight booking and lodging reservation party at Casa de Stanley located at 1061 N. Amber St. in Chandler starting at 10am. Here's the map and I'm at the Northwest corner of Ray and Cooper Roads. 480-440-4666 [email protected]

Numero Dos: After consultation with my long time Mexico Riding Amigo Brian "El Jefe" Boles" we're just going to spend 4 or 5 nights at Dos Cabos; BUT, we will spend them all at the same hotel somewhere on the corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. This way our Las Reinas (the Queens) and our Las Princesas (the Princesses) can bring along as much crapola as they care to! When the Ladies were informed they were limited to the space of one top case and one saddlebag only, we were informed that there would not be much "Nookie-Time" on this trip unless we changed that mandate. So, we'll go out on day trips from our base resort. Easy-peasy since the farthest destination is La Paz at 136 miles and Todos Santos is only 54 miles from mid-point Cabo-San Jose!

Atencion Fairlaner, McRide, juniorfjr and MEM: Sir Richard I have your phone number and will call you when the flights are confirmed and the resort stay is set, all flights from PHX to SJD go through LAX so Karen can join the Arizona Ladies there; por favor, then pass that information on to McRide. juniorfjr, I will send you an FJR Forum Private Message immediately when I have this info or send me your phone/e-mail and I'll contact you quicker. Mi querida Maria Elena, my Darling you know tu Papa Chuy Viejo has your number!

That's the one part we may vary a little from the group. We have a condo in Los Cabos and will stay there although the resort mentioned is next door to our place. It's not that we are anti-social. More a case of it seems wasteful to let the place sit empty and pay for a hotel next door.
Whatever works out best for you two is just fine with the group JerryZ, however you will miss out on the "Swingers Party" though! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!

FJR Forum and AZ Beemers Cabo San Lucas Reservation Party was a resounding sucess, we snagged the flight for the Ladies and booked our Hotel stay for 4 nights.

The Gals are flying non-stop to and from SJD - San Jose International Aeropuerto; only two hours air time on US Air. US Airways Flight #334 on 1/28/2013 from Phoenix departing 11:15 am - PHX touching down at 2:15 pm. Return flight is US Airways Flight #337 departing SJD at 4:12 pm on 2/1/2013 and touching down at 6:12 pm.

We're staying at the Bonito Los Cabos Blanco Resort from Monday, January 28 through Friday, February 1. Best price was on Expedia, $862.04 for those 4 nights.

https://www.transcabo.com/ We'll be using Trans Cabo for the Ladies limo service to/from SJD-Bonito Los Cabos Resort. $42 round trip, we can book this mid-January.

"Donna and I went with a Junior Suite and we didn't do the all-inclusive, we will be spending hardly any time at all in the room. USD Cost was $174 with $42 for taxes, booking and resort fees." Donna and I went with a Junior Suite, couldn't see a reason to spend $50 more nightly for a Luxury. All-inclusive is not needed, in our opinion!

Back Road Bob: Hotel reservations and airfare done! Nothing left to do but the riding!
Mi Sobrino Enrique: Hotel booked. Just need to book flight and side cases for the GSA, hope to pick up in Long Beach IMS at a discount.
JerryZ: Looking forward to the trip even if we are slightly further away from Cabo Wabo than some.
Note to Folks flying their Significant Others (I believe Fairlaner is flying SO SkooterG to Baja!): Get your flights for your SO's booked to SJD-Dos Cabos Muy Pronto.

Well, finally got all the ducks to line up and looks like we'll be in Phoenix Thursday afternoon. Got a junior suite reserved and my princess is booked on the same flight to Cabo with the other princesses. I'm ready to put the bike in the truck right now and head out. This is going to be a great trip. :yahoo:

Sounds great Fred, I also wish we were rolling our moto wheels South - Listo, Compadres!

Don,

So the Baja interactive map is the route we will be taking to Los Cabos? Since our last meeting at Serrano's with Skooter, how are you doing with programming a GPS?

I just started a ten week course "Introduction to Spanish" so I can maybe figure out what you, Brian and Enrique are talking about and to also ask "where is the restroom?"

Will an iphone work in Baja?

I'm with Fred and ready to head out, or more likely in a couple of weeks when I get this freaking boot off my foot! Should be able to start riding on road the  week after Thanksgiving and off road about a month later.
We will be taking Mexico Route 1 all the way from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas.  Don't need no stinking GPS, I know this road like I know Guinness Stout!

"Donde esta los Banos?" will get you a restroom.  I have no idea on an iPhone, I don't take phones to Mexico.  Will take my MacBook, lots of connections.

Depends.

If it is a GSM phone, which it usually will be unless you use Verizon, your phone will work fine and work almost everywhere. Mexico has way better cell coverage than Arizona!!

If it is a Verizon CDMA only phone, you may get coverage in some bigger cities.

In either case, be sure to have the phone enabled for international roaming. Call your cell provider.

Verizon told me that you can add an international for 15 dollars a month and cancel the next month. The sales guy did add that you should turn off the data, go wifi only. Data charges will kill ya.

Many thanks Fred, I will pass this info on to the AZ Beemers Baja Bashers!

Yo tengo un pregunta. When buying the insurance, do you pony up for the whole coverage or are you comfortable with the liability only?

But again, if you don't have a GSM capable Verizon phone, which most Verizon phones are not, there will be very little service for your $15.

I bought my Verizon Moto Droid 2 specifically because it is one of the few that has GSM.

And ++++1 on Fred's comment about data charges.  Forgot about that on the first day of a trip once.  Ouch.
Yo Fred, Brian Boles posted this up over at AZ Beemers website: Is your Verizon phone GSM capable?
