In! Room reserved, arriving Friday, checking out Monday. Just waiting on confirmation from FJRob1300 to see if he's in or not, otherwise, I'll be looking for a bunkie.
Check in clerk said I was the 4th or 5th to reserve for the FJR group today.
Well I am the 5th or 6th then as I just got off the phone with them. :yahoo:

You're coming on Friday, right ? Doing the ride in one day ?In case you're thinking of splitting it into 2 candy-ass days, I'll just remind you that I made the ride from Mont-Tremblant in one day (977kms) :p
Naw, thats just a day ride for me. But, I am a card carrying member of the CCBA. Hum.. I'd better check before my mouth makes claims my candy butt won't cash.. one sec..

.... [theme from Jeopardy plays]

Ya, I'm good 900km. I turn into a pumpkin at a 1000km though. No wrong turns!

Fred,Do you have a head count for this little shindig? My brother is still not definite, but I am. Calling to make my reservation now.

Bob
No, not really. I'll probably take a roll call in a few weeks so we can get a better idea. Usually until the last week or so people aren't definitely in (or out). And some of the local talent likes to squeek in at the last moment for one day ride.

Last year, I think we had an even dozen or so bikes. One thing that I learned is that, with groups that big (or bigger?) we will need to call ahead and warn the lunch and dinner spots.

PS - You Canuckians are a hardy bunch. Riding 560 miles (each way) to get to a 2 day group ride that will probably total about the same amount... Kind of takes the whole "Candy" out of CCBA. ;)
