Pegscraper is correct about Santa Rosa.

If you decide to ride from Skaggs Springs Road back to the Hotel I can suggest a route or two that are a lot of fun while avoiding the freeway. (This is my backyard, we live 5 miles west of Sebastopol).

I recommend looking at; Skaggs to Dry Creek Rd, 101, to Westside Rd, West on River Rd to Monte Rio, turn south on Bohemian Highway through Occidental to Freestone (try the bread in the woodfired Wildflour bakery, I'm addicted to the Fougasse!), west on Bodega Highway, left/south on Valley Ford/Freestone Highway, left/east to the town of Valley Ford, right/south on Valley Ford/Estero Rd, left on Dillon Beach Rd to the town of Tomales, right on 1 and left on Tomales-Petaluma Rd, right on Chileno Valley Rd, right on Marshall Petaluma Rd, left on Wilson Hill Rd, right on Pt Reyes-Petaluma Rd, left on Nicasio Valley Rd, left on Lucas Valley Rd to 101. A lot of these roads have almost no traffic, great views and lots of curves.

What time do you plan to ride from the Larkspur Hotel?
****. How come I ain't out there. :angry2:

Cause you shot your wad in April? :D

FJR still out for the count.

HD had loose oil line, apparently requiring dis-assembly of 1/2 the motobike..

Wabs is running, but MsDcarver prefers a 'big' motobike.

.. we may arrive on bicycles, jes' sayin'

.....but we we WILL be there!

Lord help me but I cannot pass on one that's been teed up like this.

Prefers a big motobike, eh?

Now THAT is truly great news. I'm really looking forward to seeing mi amigo Jeff!

It will be great to see Jeff. I wonder how they got him to come in off the boat. Last couple of times I called him he was fishing.

We will be starting from the motel in Mill Valley for sure, my route for the day will look something like THIS

Although it will most likely turn into THIS for Saturday and THIS

for Friday or maybe the other way round.......

Might wanna take Pt. Reyes lighthouse off your route. It's way the feck out there and back. I really think you ought to start by going up to see the City from that overlook above the GGB, then loop back around through the old fort onto 101 north a few mile, then into 1 and the coast. It's the overlook shown here vid no. 8 Shiny Hiny. Mill Valley's just a few miles from that overlook. And while we're at it, maybe there's an easy way to cross the GGB, do a u-turn, and head back north. For out of towners it might be fun to cross the GGB.

Since there'll be such a large group and folks'll need to split up a bit. Maybe I should get a breakfast going, then lead a ride up there and then along your route. And if you think that's a bad idea, Rick, kiss my Shiny Hiny. :D

I aint kissing your shiney anything, but it is still a bad idea.........

You seem to forget that almost all of this group was in that hood recentely with tyler and wheatie....This is why I pick a spot north of GGB ( at $6.00 a pop to cross) also the headlands are under going so major construction.

Looks like the temps for next week in SFO are gonna be perfect for riding (mid 60's)and Napa on Saturday is gonna be mid 80's....

Routes are still open....

You make good points.... I will see how things play out and figure out when to jump in. I'm just hoping no one wants to go riding before, say 9 or 10 AM. :glare:

So who is gonna be there Thursday Evening apart from Myself, Steve, Jeremy and Tiffany?

Guys I am thinking we roll in to SFO for dinner HERE

We could even split a cab between the 4 of us...

Steve

Ok you would be the last 2.

Oh man, this is great news. 'Cause here I was thinking about maybe trying to make it out Friday night for a special cameo drop-in visit. In fact, I was thinking it might be fun to make some public comments, a short little fun speech :tomato2: (no, really, short :glare: ), about why, when my bike went kaput and I had $6K to buy any bike I wanted (like a Kawi ZX-14 or BMW K1200R), I elected to get another FJR. But now I'm off the hook. Phew. :yahoo:
