I'm leaving for the East coast on the 16th and will miss this event. Have a great time.

Hmm, I'm going to miss seeing Hans fan the clutch on his new bike.

Oh yeah....I'll be there for dinner on Friday.
Soo looking forward to seeing old peeps and meeting new ones too.

The FJR is down for the count, for now, so we'll be arriving via FLHTCU..

..but don't worry, you will HEAR us long before we arrive!

:****:

Hugs n' Kisses

We will be starting from the motel in Mill Valley for sure, my route for the day will look something like THIS

Wish I could do that one. If you have those rides on the Garmin (Mapsource), please E-mail them to me for future use, thanks.

SIR R, will you have a load for my Zumo 665 when I get to your house Wednesday afternoon, Iam looking forward to putting the big beast through its first paces, I am a little unfamilar with riding a machine like this its so huge. its like going from a corvette on my FJR to a F650 super truck on my BEEMER GSA. where you went from a corvette to a fleetwood cadillac on your winged Potamus. but I took it for a ride and the Suspension is so smart I did not even feel the bumps in the road and the wind screen is so well designed I did not feel any wind on me or my helmet, its an awsome machine but a little awkward getting use to. its so tall I can hardly get my toes down. I have to lean to one side to put my foot down at a stop. I think its made for someone of your hight, Iam to short for this bike. But by the time we get back to SOCAL I beleive I will have it whipped I hope.

WTFO? Wear elevator shoes?

Don, I knew I could count on you for some sound advice. you probably have some of those Saturday night live platform shoes that you wear with your motocross gear

I know.....I'm always going to "stir the pot"...I can't help myself! Well, I could, but where's the fun in that?

Maybe "the girls" can give you some pointers or lessons... ;)

I would highly recommend not riding 101 through Santa Rosa because of road widening construction that has been going on for the last 5 years. Your first choice looks the best but in reverse order because running up the Hopland Grade is awesome with all the sharp twisties and down Skagg Springs road should be the topper (but I hear rumours about the clamp down there). Should be a blast in my old stomping grounds. Enjoy.

Mike, I would gladly take pointers from those gals or most of you gents, you have alot more time in the saddle tha I do, and I love it when you stir the POT, but what i really need is a used deep cell RV/marine battery, I cant find one anywhere Stir stir Stir I just could not resist Love ya Man. that was fun helping you and Sir R install that monster I enjoyed the experience

Pegscraper is correct about Santa Rosa.

If you decide to ride from Skaggs Springs Road back to the Hotel I can suggest a route or two that are a lot of fun while avoiding the freeway. (This is my backyard, we live 5 miles west of Sebastopol).

I recommend looking at; Skaggs to Dry Creek Rd, 101, to Westside Rd, West on River Rd to Monte Rio, turn south on Bohemian Highway through Occidental to Freestone (try the bread in the woodfired Wildflour bakery, I'm addicted to the Fougasse!), west on Bodega Highway, left/south on Valley Ford/Freestone Highway, left/east to the town of Valley Ford, right/south on Valley Ford/Estero Rd, left on Dillon Beach Rd to the town of Tomales, right on 1 and left on Tomales-Petaluma Rd, right on Chileno Valley Rd, right on Marshall Petaluma Rd, left on Wilson Hill Rd, right on Pt Reyes-Petaluma Rd, left on Nicasio Valley Rd, left on Lucas Valley Rd to 101. A lot of these roads have almost no traffic, great views and lots of curves.

What time do you plan to ride from the Larkspur Hotel?

Steve and I will arrive in Mill Valley Thursday afternoon and will probably go into "The City" for Dinner.

Friday am we will be riding somewhere.....If you want to join us let me know..

As far as routes go for Friday/Saturday and maybe even Sunday I have been getting a lot of suggestions and would like to see them in google maps (Easier to put into mapsource).

So please if you have a route suggestion either post it here or PM me with, it would be better here so we can all look at it.

thanks

R

P.S. Fridays route will include highway 1 and Skaggs........unless everyone wants to do that on Saturday.
