Is it bike show time already?! Best get my tickets ordered for the Long Beach show. Thanks for the heads-up, Highlander!
Counting the days until the Long Beach show. Last year, we under-budgeted our time and had to leave after a measly three hours. Which day(s) are you planning to visit the show?

Jill

Dang, I have to work that day.....oh, its at the CycleWorld bike show doing the CMA helmet and gear check. As usual bring your riding gear in and we'll check it in bag it and keep it safe for free. Be safe and hopefully see you there. PM. <>< :yahoo:

I'm shooting to be there the 17th.
I think we all are. Right, Highlander?

Saturday starts at 0930. Is that the meet-up time?

Breakfast nearby first?
Breakfast at 0900, so some of us can sleep in...?

Furthermore, since TwinkleToes is coming in from Clovis (WTHFTI??), perhaps breakfast ought to be in the beautiful picturesque city of San Jose. And I bet Silent knows a good spot that is not a chain restaurant.

Moreover, shouldn't we plan a bit of an after-lunch ride, that gets Toe-Meister headed back in the right direction? Figure a hot dog at the show, then a ride in Marin or the East Bay or Highlander's neck of the woods?

There's a great breakfast place over by Road Riders, but I doupt that I'll be joining this time around. I've already commited to going up with a few friends from work.

Breakfast has to be around the San Mateo area as the Sac folks come across the bridge, SJ is too far south, and the earlier the better as the show gets to be wall to wall people by mid afternoon, sometimes it feels like a giant conga line

The first two hours are normally the easiest, and usually there's no time left in the day for a run unless you check out early from the show...but your welcome to try :D

I know a great little Denny's in Pleasanton, Gateway to San Francisco.

BTW, I got an e-mail from JWhite518 suggesting a "meeting of the forums": a bunch of STN folks are going on the 17th and meeting for breakfast ahead of time.

What do you think of Heidi Pie Restaurant. Its just around the corner from the fairgrounds.

Looks good. I think one thing to think about is that our good idea is going to be everyone's good idea, and that a restaurant right at the gounds might actually not be a good strategy. Maybe we should rendezvous in, say, Bakersfield?

No problem, you just get there early and save me a seat.

Where ever we meet I like getting there early so we can get to the show before the crowd. Where are the STN group meeting?

STN is discussing it at the monthy informal dinner meeting on Wednesday. Jwhite suggested over on STN that we do a meeting between both groups ( I backed him up :acute: ) ...stay tuned........... :D

I updated the first post with a current list of riders interested.

Post up if your interested in breakfast as we'll need some type of head count...especially if we meet the STN crowd.

I'm always interested in breakfast...(and lunch and dinner, etc.) I am going and will await the final details about eating, etc.
