This is our dog Dell.
This is what she does. Literally all day.
We woke up to her stuck in my wife's sweatshirt sleeve. Clearly, she is a special needs dog!

Our Pitador Gracie from the local public shelter has grown up with us from 12weeks to be a joy. Our fostering (11 in 3 years) has become sadder and sadder for my kids as they grow attached and have to say goodbye.
Well, since we work with the Looziana Basset Rescue so closely, and our adoptees are a Bagle and a Walker, we've always wondered what our loaned Bassets were like as younguns' .
So, I get a call from a friend who lives in the nearby country, and he tells me of his friend who let their all basset girl meet up with a all basset boy that moved into the neighborhood a year before.
I call the family and they tell me of the 6 pups they are looking for homes...3 girls and 3 boys. Well our situation of 3 doggies has been better with girls than boys, so we drive the 60mi to just "visit" and see...they make an offer we can't refuse and this comes home:

first day getting to know a new environment:

We recently had to put down our 16 yo Himalayan, Coco.
Not too long after we decided we needed to fill the void. Meet Romeo, a silver chinchilla Persian, he was only 9 weeks old when we got him 7-2-11.
Thanks to Ionbeam, we went to a cat show a week ago Saturday....and ended up bringing home Beau, a blue eyed white Persian so Romeo would have a buddy! We had talked about getting another cat, but hadn't made a decision yet. Well, when he snuggled up under the wife's chin, it was all over.
Beau is 4 mos old and Romeo is only 3, but they get along pretty good.
We don't have too many pics of Beau yet, he started sneezing and has had a cold since we brought him home, so we're waiting on him to not have a runny nose! We did take some decent pics of Romeo the other day.
Oh yeah, one of the reasons we were thinking about getting Romeo a friend was because he was terrorizing the dog, a 6 yo Chihauhau/Pomeranian mix. Here's Jesse.

I've never been one for bonding with pets, so I prefer something that doesn't need that kind of attention. I've had Erica for 22+ years now. She's docile, and easy to handle, unlike the one I had previous to her. THAT one was a handful!
