I'm confused - so is this the point where we gather around the campfire for a rousing chorus of KUM-BY-Yah and a group hug???
I got yer 'Kum-By-Yah', righ'cheer, pal! :p

Actually, given that fjrchik is our entertainment...

Oh, um, sorry, I drifted for a moment.

...coordinator, I'm pretty sure that a rousing campfire round of Kum-By-Yah is not on the schedule. Pretty sure that some sort of 'Boom-boom-chicka-wow-wow' tune will be playing somewhere, though. ;)

Agreed. I registered and paid for NAFO-6 (and I am not rich) and took my chances. Unplanned surgery precluded my attending but the biggest regret was missing the event, not the money. Money comes and goes (just look at your receipts at the gas pump), but NAFO-1 only comes once. I am not going to tell others what they should do. But I'm registered and taking the chance again.

Ditto on “(and I am not rich)” …… at current prices that could have bought about 7 tanks of fuel for the Iron Pony….

While I can live without the KUM-BY-Yah….. I do NOT want to miss the experience of being in the midst of 300+ people that very much enjoy one of the same things I do……

That and very much counting on the very low probability that “LIFE” would lay another curve ball on me to make me miss this.

I wish youse guys the best of fun;

This year I won't be able to attend, it is at the same time as my daughter's B-Day. :(

What better birthday gift than to spend a week with dad on a motorcycle? ;)

If not, no worries, family is important.

From what I understand, she'll have another birthday next year. There is only one chance at a first time event of this magnitude :yahoo: The only thing she wants from you is a new car when she starts driving and a collage education.

Yeah, I know... Guess I'm just being too lazy to put the Balloon tires on the bike for the trip across the pond!! The avons handle good in the water, but.....

As far as the "came from the furthest" award, I might have that unless we have someone showing up from Australia or South Africa.

We need to make sure we hook up there. I'll buy you a beer (or at least what passes for beer in Golden). :glare:

Not to burst anyones bubble here, but I think the award is for whoever rode the furthest.

So let me get this straight, Mike..... TWN's bike gets parked next to the dumpster....Oh OK, Commandant!!!!
Ssshhhhhhhhh.......Be vewy vewy kwyett. He'll be so tired from riding Caba around as pillion on the day ride, he won't even remember where to park.

Then "El Jeffe" will have a couple of adult beverages and lead a chorus or two of "Kumbaya", participate in the group hug, and.....

And since I'm riding from Alaska and taking three weeks to get there, taking the long way down, I "should " be in the running for most miles to the event ! :D
