Can we play it out a little farther? If still not grabbed by the weekend, I live close to Scotland, PA. If I didn't have to work I could even make it to Mars!
Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking about doing if it doesn't get grabbed in a couple days.

A contraction? I could get to Florala on Saturday.... :)

Florida City is all the way down by Miami. There's a Jersey, Ga, about 6 hours, though. One way.

Ok, so I found this photo on the internet:

Then, I called the Kansas City Public Works department to find out where it was. At that point I jumped on the bike for a very nice hour and half ride (took the twisty route of course.) When I got there, I did not find pretty yellow flowers. Instead, there was......

Construction!! Of course... in KC, there is ALWAYS construction. So here's my photo. The temporary sign doesn't say "welcome" on it, so you'll have to decide if it's ok or not. Either way I win... I got a 3 plus hour ride out of the deal. Let me know - I have a tag photo ready to go.

Ok, here's your tag... There are state parks all over the place, so take shot of your bike in front of any sort of lookout tower or structure specifically for viewing nature.

This is a scenic overlook spot S.E. of KC.

Grab: walkway out over Gator Lake, St. Andrews State Park, Florida. You can watch birds, see their nests on the island in the lake (large-ish pond, actually,) and in the tall grass around it, and watch alligators and turtles from time to time.

New tag: your bike in front of a bridge that is more than a mile from foot to opposite foot. It can cross water, canyon, empty space, whatever, but it has to be bridge at least a mile, no causeway or tunnel interrupting that distance. I couldn't get the whole bridge in a shot, but this one is 1.2 miles by the trip-meter, US 331 across Choctawhatchee Bay, just north of US 98.

Doesn't have to be on the road the bridge is part of. I had to do that here because there aren't any other roads where it crosses the bay. For example, If you got the Golden Gate Bridge in the background from anywhere nearby, it would count.

No bridges that long in my neck of the woods, and I finally have at least one bike running well enough to ride. Someone go get this and post something I can get. ;)

Same with me Old geezer guy, unless I take a trip all the way

down to Charleston and get the Cooper River Bridge. Anybody down in Charleston can get this pic?

Guess I should have been checking this thread more often. I crossed the Macinac bridge in Ontario/Michigan twice the other week. The only pics I have are property of the IBA now...

Just for your information the Mackinac Bridge does not separate Ontario from Michigan. The Bridge crosses over the Mackinac Strait which separates Lower Michigan (The Mitt part) from the "Uwe-Pee" (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan.

It is my observation that the main industry in the "UP" is State Prisons since you come across a prison in almost every town located up there. The UP is also known for an excellent trail system for off-road motorcycling that used to be part of the Six Days of Michigan Trail Ride.

Yes, you are certainly correct, the Macinac is entirely in MI. I was simply on my way to ON when I crossed it on my way to Sault Ste Marie at the border and points further North.

Another bridge that might qualify for the tag is from Astoria, OR to WA state. I don't recall it's length, but it is fairly long.

Tags like this are narrowing the field of who can get it and sometimes linger longer than desired. Fun idea, but slows the game down.

Ogdensburg - Prescott Bridge is over a mile long:

And you can see my windshield and mirror in the picture, so this counts right?

File photo you say? Why yes... yes it is.

What if I send you ten 0.1 mile bridge pictures?

Not entering (this time), just thought you might like this bridge:

Millau Bridge, France.

2400 metres (just over 1.5 miles) long.

Came across it (and came across it

) during a tour in 2011.
