Old mill and bike in same picture

Better shot of Old Mill. A little trivia here, but this mill was featured in "Gone With the Wind."

Shot from gate just to prove that it is, indeed, and Old Mill

New challenge. How about a motorcycle parts and accessory shop that is NOT a dealership. This one should go pretty quickly.

RH has posted pics of the missus before, but he had a couple of versions. One looked like the thing Sigourney Weaver threw out of her spaceship. and burned up with a thruster blast.

'foosh, my dear friend, one should NEVER judge a book by its cover.

Look at any pictures of Hotrodzilla on this forum. He's actually a senior level, by-God genius, but his image frightens little children and is used by the National Association for the Terminally Stupid.

I got sick of sitting around the house plus I needed to test to see if I could ride the FJR with the cast so I went for a short ride and got a grab over in Oshawa....

This shop only does custom work on cruisers and is not a dealer of HD, Victory or other such motorcycles with frames made from water pipe so it should qualify.

I was thinking of making the next grab a photo of a trike since they had a pretty neat example right in front of the the shop but then I thought it might be good to get some of the Mid-West crowd involved and went with an old grain elevator we have up near Pontypool.....

SO the next grab is a grain elevator and a silo does not count. If you don't know the difference ask a farmer.

I'm a bit confused, all the grain elevators around here also have silos next to them. Is that not acceptable?
It is acceptable to have both silos and an elevator in the photo. I will give bonus points if the grain elevator has Dog River from the TV show,

on the side of it.

According to their website they have one in the Port of Albany. However, when I went to grab it, it looked like a bunch of silos. I can't tell which part is the elevator!

That's my problem. I wouldn't know a grain elevator if I saw one. I Googled "grain elevator near Little Rock" and found some. Maybe I'll try Sunday if nobody's gotten it before then.

At any rate, I'd say just get some photos of the bike with various tall structures and submit them. Then if you get one, you can use the silo as the next challenge ;)

This might help for those confused about elevators and silos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grain_elevator

That registry site is missing a lot of grain elevators. It says there are none in UT, which is wrong. It only lists a few in OR and I know of many more that are not shown there. It's not a definitive source.

Here's a Grab 752 miles into an SS1000 Wed.

Next Tag is your bike and an old rusty four wheeled vehicle. Preferably more rust than paint. This one was 415 miles from the grain elevator. Four wheeled because we all have at least one ole rusty two wheeled moto bike in the garage or barn somewhere.

Lawn Art is optional.

I think one of my coworkers would get offended if I walked out in the parking lot right now and took a picture of my bike parked next to his Chevy truck......

You stopped during a SS1000 to participate in this game? That's really cool!

Yeah, it is. I suspect it gave him something to think about to help break up the monotony, plus an excuse to rise off the seat a couple of times. ;)

Well, not sure how to respond except to say, I'v never done an out and back or straight-line SS1000. All, and there have been many, have been part of tours or rallies and the like, snagging bonuses etc. along the way. The geneses of this one was to snag 5 dams doing the 2013 Unofficial Dam Tour. 20 hrs and 4 mins - 1049 miles. One caveat, no official paper work submitted for certification.

I knew I would be in The Palouse and most certainly would pass a grain elevator or eight. The plan all along was to stop at one on the way to Little Goose Dam on the Snake River in WA. The tag was a spontaneous stop at what I thought would be a fun next objective. The lady I asked if I could take the pic was delighted that I would include her project in such an event. Interaction with the locals can be as much fun as the ride. Well, kinda...

This game is always on my mind when on the road. Great fun!

I can appreciate what you say. Having a goal makes the miles (and hours in the saddle) melt away with ease.

To quote a forum savant: "Keep Going!" ;)
