<snip>I wanna see your bike in front of what may be just a bit more fun to pilot than the bike itself.
Nice to see someone make the 'FJR is a rocket' leap ;)

Since a bit of research seems to have taken care of the concerns expressed, I'll keep my tag modification in reserve a bit longer. Come on, folks! Less talk, more riding! :D

I grabbed the Kecksburg UFO. Will post the new tag soon...great roads today.

Sorry about the Rule 11 thing. I got back home and had to take the wife to the doctor for flu. While that's not much fun, the trip to the UFO site was very nice. Once grabbing the tag I headed southeast into the Allegheny mountains and enjoyed lots of twisties and one-lane roads.

I was not aware of the UFO siting here, and the memorial, looks more like a pile of dog doo on a stick, than a UFO.

So the new tag is a Gazebo or town square. This is in Ligoniere and the Dogwoods were stunning all over this part of PA.

I know the sign says "One Way"...

But if you had just backed the bike up a bit that shot would have displayed so much more feng shui.

PS - Your gazebo is shaped a lot like you doggy poo UFO.

Feng shui? I didn't know you were into that sissy ****!

Yes the shape of the gazebo and the UFO bear coincidental doggie doo resemblance.

Do we know what is inscribed on the alien spaceship? Lyrics to a Martian Top-40 tune?

Gazebo found in a small park in Wellsville, PA

New tag, your bike and a vintage sign for some type of vehicle. Car,truck, motorcycle, tractor. Something no longer offered.

This was a small 2 bay garage that at some point was the local dealership for Triumph cars. I've seen this sign for more than 40 years and I know the owner has turned down multiple offers to purchase it.

Beautiful spring day for a ride here in New England today.

I rode to this location this afternoon, up at Lake Sunapee, NH, because I remembered someone having a bunch of old timey stuff set up along side the road. I figured that they would have had at least one old vehicle sign up, but everything was "Mobilgas", which of course is Exxon Mobile nowadays.

I will leave it up to Chuck whether he thinks this is good enough for the claim. If so I have a new tag waiting. Otherwise, I'll have to try harder next time. I know another similar place over at Lake Winnipesaukee that has even older gas pumps and that guy must have a vehicle sign or two. Either way it was a fine day for a ride. ;)

Grab: West Florida Railroad Museum, Milton, FL, 104 miles from the house. I arrived at exactly closing time, so I didn't get to peruse inside, but I got my caboose.

(BTW, this tag was not without issues....)

New tag: An aircraft with something special about it. The story is part of the grab:
This is the SR-71 at the Air Force Armament Museum just outside Eglin AFB. Being an SR-71 is pretty special by itself, but this one is like no other!
Sometime during the program, they designed a longer tail which would house more equipment, adding to the aircraft's capabilities. Turns out, the thing got tail-heavy and didn't handle as well. Pretty much simultaneous with this development, The equipment itself underwent a good downsizing as electronics got better, so the long tail ended up being unnecessary, and this is the only "long-tail" SR-71 that was built. That makes it a rather unique aircraft!

Well done! I'm glad the new tag is not tail bag rash! I don't think I have a SR71 nearby. This one will be challenging, but hopefully less eventful than yours.

Just get some particular aircraft with a story that makes it special or significant.

The last catalina in europe... and so many particular airplane... but infortunatly it wasn't possible to take a picture with my bike and a aircraft.

Very nice the SR71.

Nice SR, living close to Beale AFB I used to watch that baby fly overhead all the time. Even better was at the Beale Air show when I stood within 100' of the the boys firing it up using built up (high rise intake, headers etc) chevy 454's on mobile trailers. After take off with full afterburners and refueling over Idaho they did a fly over at Mach 2 while dumping fuel so we could watch it. Damn fine machine.
