Looks like this little 350 mi Thursday ride from Camp Verde to Silver City via 260 & 180 has gained some interest. So let's firm it up:
WHEN: Meet up between 8:30 and 9:30 with full tanks and a java infusion. KSU at 9:30

WHERE: Camp Verde at Starbucks Coffee, 1620 W. State Route 260 off I-17

Top off and stretch in Lakeside (160 mi)

Finish up in Silver City (190 mi) in time for check-in

I will be running RD, just in case. Let's have a good time.

Yo Ed, you need to send a Private Message to Big-D, he still thinks I'm meeting your group up at Camp Verde! WRONG! I'm leading Interstate 10 pack picking up cometman - Mark at 1000 hours in Tucson. Big-D lives in Lake Havasu City where peyote grows wild, he eats a handful of peyote buttons at a time, ese! JSNS!

=======================================================================================

I was never meeting there, you are thinking of Ed K. - pegscraper. I am leading the Interstate 10 group, leaving from Love's Truck Stop at 0800 on May 29th.

Dan
I did send him a wake up message and reminded him that he has an invite to the abode the night prior to the meet-up at Camp Verde. But after your PM to me I was wondering if there might be hallucinogenics involved here or old age kicking in (I should be talking). On another note Dan, I will have whatever you are having. Please call me so we can go over the details.

Ed, my plans have changed and I would be up for meeting you at your place Wednesday night. I think Dan and Chris will be riding with me also.

Adam, the wifie is getting concerned now. I mentioned steaks on the Barbie Wednesday night to BigD and he said he and Chris might consider it if the other option falls through. If you are serious and your GC camping plans falls through, call me soon because we are only two weeks away and there is a fire brewing near SC.

OK Ed, just looked over the route you have planned for us to SC. It looks great, lots of fun and beautiful. I just got off the phone with my son-in-law who is a Sheriff up in Payson, he told me to watch for Bambi, cause there have been 10 animal vs. vehicle accidents just in the Payson area this month so far.

My error, I thought Don was riding with us too. But I see now he has chosen to take the ever so boring Slab all the way to Silver City. Although on the way home, Chris & I will probably take the Interstate also just to make sure we reach the high temps when they are at their worst.

After taking with Adam, you guys that are planning on jamming down the I-10 through Tucson should consider riding with us starting in Camp Verde. The freeway is going to be long and hot, whereas the mountains are going to be cool and beautiful.

Brother Dan: Ed, Adam and Papa Chuy are going to start a drug intervention program with you - you have to knock off that damn peyote! I keep telling you, we are picking up riders from San Diego in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday 5/29 morning at 1000 hours. How do we ride to Camp Verde and still meet the San Diego Contingent in Tucson? jes' sayin' and nuff said!

Please Note: I just sent Mark - cometman a Private Message asking him to confirm his travel plans. If he is not coming to Tucson, the Phoenix group will meet you in Payson. However, we cannot get there until 0930 hours.

OK Adam, what is your plan to meet up at Starbucks for a KSU by 09:30. I have two options for Chris & I, either hook up with you in Kingman or ride down the day before and stay at my daughters house in Gilbert, then ride shotgun with the BeemerDon and the much more mature BMW riders to Starbucks!Once this is worked out, I will let Chris know.
Dan and Adam, Seth and I plus the AZ Beemers crowd are taking the Southern Route through Tucson: Picking up Joe and Cec, then I-10 to Lordsburg and then NM 90 northeast to Silver City. JSNS!
I am thinking of riding to Tucson Wed. staying the night in a room and head out Thursday morning. Maybe see you all.
cometman - Mark: Please confirm that you are indeed spending Wednesday night 5/28 in Tuscson, Arizona and that we are meeting you on 5/29 at your hotel at 1000 hours.

If not, I will change plans so that Papa Chuy, Miss Donna, MEM, Dashbaw and the AZ Beemers Contingent will meet whack jobs Ed, Adam and Dan up on the Mogollon Rim in Payson.

Brother Adam, I am sending a Private Message to cometman - Mark that he just cancel his hotel room in Tucson, he can stay in the Guest Bedroom at Casa de Stanley.

If he is OK with that, the Phoenix Contingent of FJR Forumites and the Nazi *******s from AZ Beemers will meet you at the McDonald's in Payson; Highway 87 and 260.

Brother Russ, when it comes to taking a **** shot at our HotRodZilla - AJ: Better late, than never ese!

Here is my 3000 mile ride to SC. Will be going to the Big Money Rally banquet in Minden on the way and then killing days taking in Zion and the Grand Canyon. I've been there before but need to kill time with easy days from St. Geo to Page(288m), then to Camp Verde(295m). Anyone wanting to meander around a few days early are welcome to join me, I've got motel rooms.

Are we riding through Kansas to get to SC (South Carolina)? Cometman will be riding through Cactus City to get to Chandler! My car tire on my FJR is flat on the bottom, so I will be riding my Burgman 650 to Silver City after a double dose of Peyote through my hash pipe , so don't anyone get excited when I fly past you like a flash of light! Or at least I might think I'm flying past someone, while the flash of light will undoubtedly be red flashing lights of the patrol car in my rear view mirror.

Peyote, its a cactus from the desert of northern New Mexico (around Albuquerque; first planted by Heisenberg) and Southern Chandler, AZ. Contains mescaline and is highly hallucinogenic in the five senses. Has been used for ritual and spiritual purposes for several years by the AZ FJR members believing it to work as Viagra mixed with Salt Peter like mixing uppers & downers at the same time while dancing naked wearing the historic and symbolic robes that match those worn by the great Masturbater of Owosso Michigan Bust-his-Nut-in-Public Joker the *******!

The spirit of peyote is very old, he is Don Juan de Stanley, a wise and very, very old man that takes the consumer of peyote into the higher dimension of the world, where he acquires great wisdom and sees the creation of the cosmos through vivid visions of unicycles while thinking he is dressed as a circus clown!

Mopsy, Flopsy & Cottontail (pegscraper, Big-D & Galaxy Blue): Cometman-Mark said go ahead and ride with the Camp Verde nut cases. See you in Payson.

Don - thank you for the offer. Very nice of you. I am not sure of the trip at this time due to the frigin heat. I have not made a reservation in Tucson yet. If it is in the high 90s I do not want to ride 10 + hours in that heat again.

So.....I guess you should make the plans with the folks at Camp Verde. If I decide to go I will meet you all there and ride with you all or go through Tucson. Sorry I can't decide right now.

I really thought that May weather in AZ was going to be perfect for riding to NM. We are on fire here and I hope they can get them all out.

Thanks for the message. You are # 1 in my book.

So, Mr. Beemer-Reamer Don,

This potential heat is stirring things up a bit and it seems like some things are in flux. Not for me. I just got back, with MsNASCAR, after riding 89A through Jerome to some of the wineries in Cornville. Some of the wine was good and temps were in the 90s in the Cottonwood area. That is OK because it was afternoon. Arrived home in Prescott and it was a smokin’ 81 degrees (higher elevation). The met-up in Camp Verde will be early morning, therefore heat will not be a factor.

As of now, your plans are to meet us in Payson at the Mac-attack.
