I know your brother is a Great Guy. I can easily picture him conspiring with your wife on something like this. It does not surprise me that your wife would be a fantastic person also. Sometimes, we actually get what we deserve.

Enjoy the orange beast. I hear they are lots of fun and the only thing they love more than dirt is money.

Oh, and don't crash the damned thing.

Uh, why exactly should I have to choose? With age comes maturity, wisdom and greed. I want to ride BOTH.

But are we talking about the motorcycles?

Goofy Zilla better give us some good updates on the Katoom. I am betting he crashes it badly enough to at least miss a couple days of work before winter. I hope he does not, but those things bring out the hoodlum in all of us.

So, we went on a ride this weekend. This bike is frigging tall. Haha...Or I'm short. Rode well for not being on a dirt bike for a while. After about the first 10 minutes, I was keeping up and I wasn't the first to fall over. However, once that **** started, I was spectacular at it.

I got really hot and super tired there for a bit, and just couldn't get my lines right. We were doing these dammed uphill rock trails that Patch and our buddy Eric were having problems with, so I shouldn't feel bad. Dumped it two times that I shouldn't have, and almost really hurt myself both times.

One time, the bike smashed my ankle between some rocks, twisting the crap out of it. My boots saved me that time. Then immediately after, the bike went down, but I stayed standing, so the left bark buster came down and smashed my left middle toes. They are currently purple, but I don't think broken. Ankle is sore, but just twisted, I think.

So, my arms and shoulders have been sore, especially my right tricep. This morning, I happened to notice this 3 inch bruise above my right elbow on the back of my arm. No wonder it has been so sore.

That was a sort of rough first ride. Single track through the trees is not a good place to screw up. I guess I better keep on it and improve my skills. Haha...

Carrie rethinking her idea about now?? Hmmm?? Did she see the pictures of Don? I say not.

I used to ride off road all the time. Would like to do it again, but I would need to get back in shape. Wait! Round IS a shape! Right AJ??

Neither. It's your skillset that is lacking. At 5'7" myself, I used to think the same thing, then I attended a KTMTalk get together and rode with this guy. Actually both of them, but the tall one isn't the one I'm talking about.

The short guy is QueTex. That's a fully grown man and if you think he can't handle his bike you sir would be dead wrong. He was on his brand new unmodified (IE stock ride height) bike at the gathering. He'd hop on, get the bike rolling, pop up the kickstand and off he went. He didn't dab because he couldn't, he didn't stop in gnarly stuff because he couldn't. He just flat out rode the wheels off of that bike and went everywhere he wanted to, and through stuff that gave the taller guys a bit of pause.

He sure shut me up on the "I'm too short" and "The bike's toot tall" excuses. When I get to ride, and I start to think these things, I think of him and figure out how to get through.

Welcome to the orange bikes. Single Track tree riding is where it's at and I can't wait to get back to it. I've been away from it for a while but next year I feel is the year.

I am starting to understand why Mrs. Zilla invested in this Orange Beast. I'll bet she also invested heavily in life insurance for Zilla. Very heavily. Poor slow thinking Zilla thought she was doing something nice when she bought that bike. That bike was cheaper and more effective than a divorce.

Seriously, 'Zilla be careful. Dirtbikes make for great exercise and are lots of fun but you (and I) are not exactly young anymore. We do not heal as fast, things hurt longer, and there are more responsibilities at home. Do keep the RRs coming, keep having fun. Just don't pull a Don Stanley.

Just Great, my AZ Beemers Club Friends have been saying that for over six months now! JSNS, Ouch!

You have friends?

Well, I suppose you must. Even Zilla has friends. I suppose since there are three of us that means we each have at least two friends!

You should be proud of yourself. Not everyone does something so spectacular that our names become a household term. You are awesome if you look at it that way.

I pronounce this thread officially ghey now that Stanley proclaims he has friends.

For you kids with less then 3 years here? This is the PC way to spell homosexual here.
