Just spoke with DonS this morning and we are planing on heading for Reno (Peppermill resort) for Sunday night. (great steakhouse) and depending on how hot it is we will either continue on to LV with Don and Barry or Steve and I will head for the coast for Monday night.

Brother Richard, Thank you for taking the initiative to secure lodging in Reno on Sunday night for returning Southwest Oregon Ride to Eat personnel. However, I just got off of the phone with HotRodZilla and Tucson Joe: The Peppermill Resort is just too expensive for we Peons. This poor old sad broken down Retiree is living off of collecting aluminum cans and eating dog food as it is, so we'll be staying at Harrah's Casino in Reno and will ride over to You and Steve to have a steak dinner at your lodgings eh!

Hola Tucson Joe y HotRodZilla, Que tal mis Amigos! My thoughts on first and the following day rides; lodgings up to Oregon: recommendations for RTE lodgings on the return trip from La Pine.

 

1) I recommend we ride to Beatty, Nevada on Wednesday and stay at Motel 6. Talked to other riders and found out the A/C at the Stagecoach Inn es no Bueno, ese! After nine hours of desert heat I want good air conditioning and a swimming pool, which Stagecoach does not have but the Motel 6 does. As soon as I talk to you Pendejos I am booking a room at Motel 6 for Bust and I.

 

2) First days ride is an easy 435 miles to Beatty. Next day is 225 miles to Lee Vining, California where we meet up with "El Borracho Grande" - Old Michael O'Keeffe and Bugnatr - Dougie Poo.

 

3) Another 235 miles to SAC, total of 460 miles for Thursday, 9/14. Sacramento Mike Dawson has us covered for lodging in Sacramento and marcusorelius and Duke the Wonder Dog are letting Bust and I stay with them in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the Cimarron Inn for Friday, 9/15. FJRay has us covered with inflatable air beds for Saturday night, 9/15. I've got 1st dibs with Don Carver!

 

4) I know Richard Hall - Fairlaner and Steve Kerns - jorstin are spending Sunday night 9/16 at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, but that is way too expensive for our tastes: $150 with fees/taxes.

 

5) I'm going to book Barry and I into Harrah's Casino in Reno for Sunday night 9/16; $60 total for 2 people and 2 beds. Harrah's in Las Vegas has our room for Monday 9/17 at only $35 a night!
