Vtwinn I'd love to have that Yamaha jacket! I've got a set of stock Gen 1 mirrors up for grabs if anyone needs them! I'm at 65781

In a time of need a very generous Forumite gave me a Dual Star heated grips tape kit with a temperature control mechanical switch. I ride into the low 20º F range and they didn't get the whole job done for me so now that times are better I have replaced them with a different solution.

Pay it forward: To anyone that needs heated grips and it would be a financial hardship to buy them I will send you a new kit, no shipping charge. LMK and I will make arrangements to get them to you.

Here is something for the guy on the Shorai bleeding edge...

IMG_1343_zps4437cdc1.jpg

I killed my second - and final Shorai battery by shutting down my bike with my kick stand but forgetting to turn the key off. That sucker was deader than a doornail. Having lived with the Shorai for several years I decided to go back to a standard battery. I no longer have use for this Shorai Battery Management System and am willing to part with it for the cost of shipping.

I've used this system several times and it kept my Shorai battery in great condition. It is good for both the 6 volt and the 12 volt Shorai batteries. What you see above is what ships in the box. This unit plugs into the port in the top recessed area and has a 2 part lead. The long one can stay connected to the battery and just tucked out of harms way. When its time to put it on charge just fish out the lead and hook it up to the extension and to the charger. This system is the best way to take care of your investment, it not only charges it, it also balances the various cells within the battery.

Shown above is my dead battery with the sub lead plugged into it's charge port. It's really a pretty slick system, it just didn't meet my expectations.

If you wish to have it just shoot me a PM and I can get it sent out via USPS Priority Mail.

Hey, it fits, it ships !

Okay, an oldie but a goodie. I've had this Motocomm AudioBoss system in the box in the garage for a long time. I never used the headsets or other stuff, but did use the FM radio for a short while on my FJ. I bought this in the hopes my wife would want to ride pillion with me. She hasn't been on the back of my bike since about 1997. So, its a wired intercom and communications system. It can take inputs from FRS/GMRS, radar detectors, and I think mp3 players should work. Just pop for the shipping and its yours.

I'll take it. PM incoming

Disregard - I thought this was a hard wired unit. Thanks anyway for the share :)

That is a hard wired (to the helmets) unit. But it uses AA batteries for the intercom power, which eliminates a lot of feedback, ground loop issues. I think they changed the name of it to the RiderLinkST1 and still sell the kit today. I ran a RiderLinkST1 for a few years and I never had to replace those AA batteries, so don't let that kill the deal. The only downside I had with it was no variability of the volume for the intercom, and with wearing high attenuating earplugs the volume was on the low side for music. But it did work fine as an intercom. If you are new to intercoms and mostly just want to be able to converse with a passenger, this is a great way to start

I received this from Mr M0T0 on this pay it forward blog for a friend. "it's just rain" went with a different style so it's up for grabs again.

I have 85% of a used stem mount with a 41/2 inch arm. I think it's a Techmount. It's missing the top plate.

I paid for shipping but just got a set of reflexive decals with no cost of shipping to me so it's free to a new owner.

Justin is the new owner.

So, it's a stem mount RAM ball with an arm? If so, I'd like to have it if it works with a Gen1. Thanks for the share

Thanks db, PM replied to.

New pay it forward: I have a set of cee baily headlight protectors for the gen1. They need to be cleaned, and need new Velcro circles to hold them on. No major scratches or anything, I just did not prefer them.

MP3 player will work and you can also run a cord from your phone to the unit and use the speakers/mic to hear/talk. At least it could using my Motorola Razr in the mid 2000s. I think I might have gone through 2 sets of batteries in a 2000 mi 3 day weekend.

Scott,

PM back at you. Sorry for the delay. You'd think with gov't furlough I'd have tons of time to surf the forum. Knocked a lot of crap off my list. At least I'm back at work now and have plenty of time to surf.

Thanks Chris.

OK, up for grabs is a brand new, never out of the box Bi Xenon H4 HID light system from HID Country. 4300k color which I believe is close to the color of normal lights. Bought it in a caffeine-induced round of overly ambitious farkle planning. By the time it got here the buzz had worn off and inertia had regained control of the situation. It's been sitting on the shelf in my garage making me feel bad about myself ever since. Doubt I'll ever get the motivation to actually tackle this project so I'm putting it up as my PIF. Kick in for shipping and it's yours.

Wow, nobody wants these lights?? I thought for sure one of our more ambitious members would grab these as a great winter project. Or maybe somebody who already has this system installed would take this one as a backup for parts. Did I miss something?
