That certainly sucks that u & Jm are folding, Iris. I went last Saturday & got some fresh roasted coffee for all of us. Gonna grind it 2nite. I definitely understand, tho. I'm expecting to run through some wet shit on my way out 2morrow.

& people, if you'd like to sit, bring a chair. The Microtel had an extremely limited amount of seating outside. If you wanna sit, bring a chair. I woke up with an extremely sore ankle... with no other reason except that I'm getting old. I will definitely be bringing a chair.

There's always KMart right next door - I'm sure they'd have a quality seating apparatus for a few $$.

Maybe...if we set it up under the covered area in front of the entrance, but maybe not if we put it in the grassy area in front of the hotel. Maybe we could all just hang out in the back/lower parking lot this year...away from the front entrance/desk.

Mmmmm, I can smell the coffee now! Heidi, you are so thoughtful! I really wanted to go on this trip and not just for the coffee, but that's a definite plus!

We're re-examining the weather. Maybe what TomInCA said...we could possibly head out Thursday and ".....from the East through diminishing rain, with a plan to arrive in Ohio Friday PM in good weather. Or maybe even travel Friday and join you all Saturday"....

We are keeping our eye on the weather. If something changes, and we decide to come, we'll post up here.....

My bike is brand new also, just Mfgr'd in Jan 2014 del'd in March to me. I finally just reached the 600mi init service (busy time of the year for me). She has already see heavy rain. If it melts because of the water, I guess I will throw in the towel (literally!). I live in NY State, clearly the weather is not the dry Arizona type so I guess if I wanna ride, I deal with it.

If the forecast was a wash (100% percip) all weekend long however, I would bail also (as Fred, Iris n Jim did). But heck, this is a pretty darn good forecast, especially after having the winter we just did.

Now if my lower back muscles would just relax

Note to self; Don't cut a lg. tree down again before a rally.
