SE Ohio Spring "Ramble" 2008

As noted before, I can only ride this Saturday. I'm staying at the Inn at Cedar Falls and the wife has a spa appointment on Saturday afternoon. Oh yeah .... at the same time, I happen to have an appointment with the roads of SE Ohio...rain or shine. unk:

If the official ramble is cancelled, I'll completely understand. But I am sure that I'll meet some of you guys along the road. :thumbsup:

Has anyone had any experience with ACCUWEATHER.COM?

I've had good luck with Accuweather.

My Cycleport pants arrived today :clapping: so I'm ready to ride either way! BTW...if you're passing through the Indianapolis area on interstate 70 or 74, let me know an ETA...I'd love to join you at that point...

Or 50% coverage...ie we get rained on half of the 8 to 12 hours we ride.

I think you just mispoke...just so there is no confusion...there will not be any cancelling of any Ramble...I am just determining whether it will be better to hold it this weekend or go with the secondary raindate of the following weekend.

...however, if I move it...it's almost guaranteed to be perfect weather this weekend.

Me too. And, I just took a look at room availability at the Super 8 for next Saturday night, just in case, and they don't list any rooms with two beds available.

SE OHIO Ramble ride date will be moved to the raindate of April 26th...50% chance of rain per NOAA, 40% chance of rain per weather channel.

...there will not be any secondary raindate. Meet at the Athens, OH Super 8 (with full tanks) at 8:30 am or before on April 26th.

Reread post #1 for full details so you don't forget anything...

I have ridden through many rain storms and even a hurricane, so I am not shy about riding in the rain, but I choose not to if there is an option. My vision is impaired somewhat and worse, dem cages are usually NOT looking anyway, and now their vision is impaired....

If you postpone I completely understand. You da boss! I will miss you guys this time around, next week is out for me, another important appointment.

I'm still in for next weekend. Maybe will pre-run the route Sunday if weather looks good.

Looks like a good call. I changed my room to the following weekend. Lets hope for dry warm weather. The Athens AmeriHost has rooms with 2 beds available as I had no problem changing my reservations from this weekend to the following weekend. Looking forward to a dry ride on the 26th

Sorry Pierre ...but it sounds like you should have fun in Vermont :yahoo: ...definitely do some northern New Hampshire too (I liked it even better than VT...but don't tell anyone I said that)

Well, next weekend is *SUPPOSED* to be my weekend to work. HOWEVER, we have not had to work any OT yet this year so maybe I will still be able to go. If we do work, maybe I an meet some of you around the Marietta area later on. I don't doing the full ride after being up all night on midnite shift would be a safe idea. If anyone is still coming down, post up. I'm prolly going to an arena football game in Youngstown, OH Friday night so I might not be the most awake first thing in the AM.

ST Dave and I are still going down on Friday. We'll ride as many of the roads as we can durin sunlight, and crash in Athens for the night and play it by ear in the mornin. I cancelled my room for Saturday night, so we'll ride as much as weather permits and then make a turn North back up to Cleveland Saturday night. I kept my reservation open for next weekend so if the weather looks good, I'll fly back down and join you'se guy's. That's my last chance to make the " RAMBLE" next weekend I'll be in Deal's Gap.
