Best of luck Ray with the surgery and a quick recovery.

Reminds me, I need to make a apt. for another Colonoscopy.....my Dad had Colon Rectal Cancer when he was 56, I'm 53 and it's been a few years since I've been checked.

Hang in there Ray and get it done. My father had this done back in 1992. He's 89 now and been all good since then. I have to get checked out too.

Prayers sent your way

Got the word today. Surgery scheduled for the 21st. They are going to do laparoscopic so hopefully recovery will be less time consuming. I want to ride soon.

Nice! Recovery time will indeed be shorter. Nice to see that the 21st century is making it's way to other parts of the medical field besides sports medicine.

Still sending good karma your way Ray. This will just be a minor foot note in your overall health. I'm glad they found what they did and are going after it before it's some scary stage 4 sh*$ that you can't beat.

You'll be out riding by the time the weather improves enough to make it fun w/o heated gear.

I'm going in for a Colonoscopy on March 24th.

They want me to fast for 36 hours before!!!! Holy **** I'll be hungry as Hell!!!!

I don't remember fasting for 36 hours last time I had it done!

In fact I "know" I didn't have to fast for 36 hours, I would have remembered that!

36 hours ?! I had to fast only 22 (from noon the day before)
Pico-Salax and lots of water will give a beautiful view  (oops! Is this stuff sold only in Canuckistan?!)

How in the Hell are they gonna get Bust's head out of your *** laparoscopicly? Are they gonna deflate it first?

Glad to hear you're able to go the easier route. Makes lots of stuff easier. Good luck!! You'll be back to fixing DC's bikes in no time.

The doc is prescribing different stuff to drink this time.

Last time was the gallon jug the night before.

This time it's 2 16oz pints of liquid, one the night before and one the morning of.

Doc said this stuff cleans you out better than the gallon stuff.

I was on a every year schedule for four years until no more polyps showed up. Sure go tired of drinking that last gallon of stuff. Three years to go before the next one.
I mix the prep with crystal lite lemonade and keep it ice cold. I suppose 50/50 with gin would help but I would get lost and have to start over.:) :)
i considered going 50/50 with Vodka but I have enough trouble keeping my glucose levels at a reasonable level so that was out of the question. Hadn't thought of the Crystal Light approach. VA never sends along the flavoring pouch and that straight gallon starts to taste really bad about halfway through.

Wow! Vodka is a clear liquid, isn't it? Didn't think of that.

Propopik for me starting Monday. So glad I could join in.

Met with the surgeon today and it looks like it's a go for the 21st. The doctor looks like a teenager to me but is supposed to be one of the best. Looking forward to getting recovered and moving on.:) :) :)

Always good to get it done and onto the recovery so you can get back to riding sooner.
