I do not know the answers to how they mount

but

I like the looks of them. someone will post up info once they get them

waiting with high hopes

The only problem that i can see,is that the seller is in Hong Kong and the delivery time is toooo sloooww from 15-30 days..

Yes you are correct, when I receive them I will let you know how they work out. Most likely not til next month when they arrive.

Dave

Hell, for that price, if you don't like them it's no big loss. A lot cheaper than the Vstrom hand guards, and I like the reflective strips.

I think I'll order a set when I get home this evening. The stock colour may be ok for the black cherry 07, if not I'll flat black the interior of the guards.

I've ordered lots of stuff from overseas and I usually plan on a 30-45 day delivery time.

If I remember this topic by then I'll post a few pics and share thoughts.

You will remember when they arrive I bet. Nice to see the other colors available. The smoke will go just fine with my black beast.

I was thinking they would be nice with a row of amber LEDs where the reflectors are, wired into the indicator circuits.

I just put VStrom handguards on my new '14 FJR (Suzuki OEM, not Barkbusters). They look great and they work great from my experience on my '08 WeeStrom. I had Iron Pony here in Columbus install them because it's like real cold in my garage right now, ya know. They are really cheap too. Order them from any Suzuki Dealer. I used a throttle locker on my WeeStrom with them and had no problems.

does anyone have mounting info on these? they look like a good deal for the price but the universal fit would make me think mounting will be a pain in the rear

I have a set on the way, ordered a few weeks ago.... I'll post when I get them.

Very easy to mount once you get it figured out. Just take the nut off the screw for the brake and clutch lever underneath to mount the bracket. Remove the end weights and bolt on. I did use some washers to space them out a little otherwise the throttle tube will rub on the end. I did have to remove a slight amount of material off the end of the supplied bracket for the throttle side. It would hit up against the reservoir. If you have a grinder or file that should do.

Edit: They do not come with instructions.

Pictures?

I did not think the end weights would have to be removed. not sure I want them if I have to get rid of the weights.

thanks for the info. good to know

I had some time this afternoon and so I went out and got them mounted. I made new brackets and got longer bolts for the end weights. I unscrewed the clutch and brake lever nuts like was discussed in post #32 and as far as I can tell they are going to be ok. I first tried the bracket that came with them and at full lock on the steering they would touch the tank. they both clear about 1/2 inch now with the new brackets. the brake side bracket is 2 bends and the clutch side is flat with just s twist to make everything line up and not be in a bind

With supplied brackets, Thanks for the heads up on the tank. I will try and raise them slightly and see what that does. If that fails then I may have to make a bracket myself.

And yes I will have to trim my Touring windscreen to get full turn. Most likely will about 1/2 inch.

Edit: By the way this is a good time to clean all the gunk and crap out of your brake levers and re-lube.

I won't be needing the oxford grips for a while. Snowed in for now.
