Just looked up "6 gap loop" - me likey!!! A couple of weeks ago, MikeP and I rode some of those roads and they are very good.

I'm researching retirement cities and I got to tell ya, North Georgia is most assuredly on the short list. The town of Blairsville is VERY interesting to me.

What did I do to my FJR over the long weekend? Rode for three days based out of a home on Lake Nottely, Georgia, about 10 miles from Blairsville. It is indeed a nice place.

Well the weather pattern this weekend, in a word, is a big ole SUCKY!!

So I changed the oil, and greased up the pivot points on the big red girl. She's been sitting still since I returned from my last tour. I'm sure she is antsy to run, but that will have to wait for a while longer.

4600 miles on the Yamalube. Bike still shifted great and the oil had decent consistency, even though it was dirty. I cant get it for $17 a gallon shipped online. The koolaid doesn't taste that bad....

Totally abused it for the last three days, riding the roads in WV. Even did some dual sport gravel and dirt. I think I need to get a set of knobbies.

Mounted some WynPro Mirror Aux Light Mounting Brackets on my bike. I've been tryng to figure out a good way to mount a GoPro on my FJR. These mounts turned out perfect for the task!

I feel cheated, I only have one Penske shock. Maybe that is why I am so slow in the corners!!! Just kidding

After the oil change, I lubed some pivot points on the bike. The worst one was the clutch pivot. It was actually so bad that the lever was not fully "springing" back away from the grip all the way. Kind of creaking on the pull in and the release. Now it is buttery smooth.

Silly that I have not done it before. The rest that Pants advised me to do were super easy as well.

Wound up getting one of these doohickies installed today thanks to something that found it's way into my tire the other day and discovered it this morning. If the tire had any more miles on it than it does, I'd have a set of PR4's on the way sooner instead of later.

With some help from Mr Garauld's paint shop, I got a color matched top box installed today. It will be wifey's backrest in Colorado next month.

Picked it up from warranty service. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Rode a couple of hours taking the wife to lunch and to cycle gear to try on jackets.

The Yamaha top box does look like it sits farther up front than the Givi on the SR-357 rack. With my long legs, and touring with a camping bag on the pillion seat, that is an issue for me.

Had the front tire replaced. FWIW my Pirelli Angel GT lasted 11k miles tho I probably should have replaced it 1k ago. Maybe the cord would not have been peeking thru

. Also replaced front & rear brake and clutch fluids.

All routine stuff, something to do whilst the rain moved out.
