Progress on Tioga Road clearing - on the website they mention that the crews from Mono County and from NPS met on may 31 - they make it sound like the meeting of the UP and WP in Utah for chrisesake :jester:

Road is still closed indefinitely to cars due to avalanche dangers and remaining work clearing the snow and ice, but bicycles can get all the way to Yosemite Creek campground from Crane Flat.

I can come out on Monday night if it makes it easier for everyone. Will you take care of the extra night at the Inn? I'm not sure if I'm going to go to work on Monday which would mean getting into Sonora kinda late, or skipping the day altogether in which case I'd probably try and get in before 7:00 and have dinner there.

I will be going to work on Monday, so I won't be in Sonora till about 8:30 to 9pm - if we decide to go over on Monday night instead.

EDIT - I haven't decided yet if I am coming down on Monday as of yet.

Richard and Russ. You are going to really hate me for this. Well please don't - hate my manager instead. He just crapped all over my vacation time that week.

Apparently I am indispensible that week to help kickstart a new task at work. I knew the promotion in April was going to impinge on my riding time and it has!

I won't be able to make it to Sonora during the week anymore. I am sending both of you this post via PM as well.

I still hope to see you for the weekend ride!

Yea I do BIG TIME!

I didn't think they were going to need me those two days and my manager initially agreed, but he doesn't anymore.

Good thing about this job though is another 20 years and I should be able to retire (hopefully)!
