I tried polishing with some Novus product...to no avail. It only looked worse. Sad. I was thinking of replacing it with a smoked or blue one(if available). It may make the bike look too bulbous from the front though.

I don't even care about that defect. That's not what I look at while I am riding. I had my bike detailed, however(it was a gift), and my windshield is badly scratched. I am totally bummed about that.

I enjoy all bikes...I have a few. But I must say that I enjoy actually riding the FJR the best so far.

I am in Fl and have an '06 FJR. My best friend lives in Ga and has an '05. I took the plastic "rail", that allows the seat adjustment, out, completely. Made it a bit easier to touch both toes.

Thanks Criz. We don't have much cold weather down here. I guess on a long ride it might be useful to get as much wind off of your body as possible, though. I am going on a long ride starting next Thursday. The info will come in handy, I'm sure. Thanks, Pam

No, I hope you are not smoking crack. But the way the PCIII works is that it deceives the ECM into thinking the bike is doing something it's not...running lean, running rich, etc... So you see if you are giving it information that contradicts what the PCII is trying to make the ECM believe, then...

I removed my plastic bracket after reading your post but I didn't notice a difference in height. I removed the rubber bumpers from the underside of the seat as well. I am concerned, however, that the seat (when sat on) touches the side panels. I am scared to ride it that way. I sure would like...

I put a vista cruise on my FJ this weekend. I sawed off the plastic tab and used a tiny sheet metal screw to fasten it to the cable housing. It works great. I used the clip(modified with my grinder) on my FZ and I like the new way I did it better.
