Maybe I am the last one to have see this but I thought it was cool.
I'm sure if a car manufacturer would build their car so it would accept Busa engines they would sell alot of cars to the local motorheads.
If you get down to the Seal Beach, CA area I would be happy to help you out. Sounds like something simple to me if you have never had this type of problem before. Glad you are trying to get help though. With these hand/wrist problems, the sooner you get it fixed up the better. PM me if you...
Looks like you covered it very well. I still remember my Dad handing me a Hammer and telling me I had to smash my new cap gun into smitherines because I pointed it at someone when I was 5 years old. :gun: :trinibob: Some will say this is extreme but I still remember that lesson and knew he...
Its bound to happen some time. Glad you were not hurt!
I have my gas pump ritual that has worked so far. Ignition off, side stand down, get off on the left always, rock it up on the center stand, gloves off, and gas up. Then gloves on and get on the bike with it on the center stand, rock it...
70psi?????
You might not even have to fall down to go boom. You'll just do it in the garage. :download: I know you're pumped about the FJR but thats a little overinflated dont you think. Try 38/40.
I always carry a tire repair kit, the FJR tools, Spare key, earplugs, Surefire flashlight, zip-ties, eyewash kit, first aid kit, Battery tender, and a cell phone plug cord. I also carry a cell phone, unless I forget to Zip my pocket, like NAFO trip.
As I should have said before 39Mpg with PCIII on an '05, calculated miles driven divided by gallons used to fill it up to the ring again, while on the center stand. Driving hwy mileage and going with the flow of traffic in California, so about 5-10 mph over most of the time.
Throw those...
I have the 001map in my '05 and usually get about 39pg on the Hwy. I used to get 46'ish without the PC. I would be interested in going to a dyno place but have not found one in the SoCal area. So, post up if anyone knows of one.
I am considering changing back just to see if there is much...
I think this info is great. I get about 39mpg but I have an '05 with a powercommander and the 001map that came with the unit. I'll bet that some of the better mileage numbers are for the bikes without a powercommander.
Anyone getting 40 or better with a powercommander?
Yamaha sure makes it hard to be loyal to the brand with a slap like that. Maybe we should charge them to be at our events when we get bigger. I think we should push to Tripple our attendence next time and then charge them to attend.
If everyone brought 2 more FJR riders with them next time...
No performance awards here but I sure deserved some. I soon realized that all those cars and trucks were not actually parked in the right hand lane........ it just looked that way from my perspective. I love that bike!
