After you're convinced that your OK, check mirror alignment. It is possible to bend the front cowl stay in a tip over. You'll notice your mirror out of alignment and the fairing seams might appear a little tighter on that side.

I did this mod after breaking my stock mirror. As you've discussed an easy install, but I'm a little annoying at how long these stalks are. Anyone figure out how to modify the swivel stop on these mirrors so they can be moved inward some and stay put?
