    November Ride

Mrs. Twisty and I were thinking about doing a little overnighter next weekend (Nov. 1 & 2) and we were planning on heading up that way...maybe spend the night in Highlands, NC or somewhere around there. I am scheduled for rotator cuff surgery Monday, Nov. 3, so I would like to get some good...

Can Anyone Help Me Locate A New 2007 FJR?

Easy Living Yamaha in Rome, GA has a brand new 2007AE discounted to $12K. I saw it Saturday while they were installing my new ignition switch.

    Best Ride Tunes

Yep, you're right, they are. I have them listed as two different songs, but that's good because it means that I get to listen to it twice as much. :P Great song, but it makes me go faster when it comes on.

Nice cans, Don! Are they real? LOL  Guess you really DID like the sound of Sean's bike, didn't you? I bet he's looking down on you now and saying "Yeah baby, sweeeet!". Good memorial, I'll think of him every time I hear your bike.

    Dyna beads

Here ya go. Just click the link below. Dynabeads They do work. I purchased a 20 oz. bag. It's cheaper that way, but you will need a way to weigh them out. You want 2 oz. in the rear and 1 oz. in the front. You can just buy a 2 oz. bag and a 1 oz. bag if you don't have any way to weigh them...

    FJRF003.0: Ignition Failures on FJRs

Thanks Neil. I think you're correct with your diagnosis. Now that you mention it, the plastic did look like it had melted a little bit. My dealer has ordered a new ignition switch, and he is going to call me when it gets in. He said everything will be covered by my YES warranty. However, I...

Over Pants For The Daily Commute

+1 For me, the most important part of the overpant is the zippers. The First Gear HT's have heavy duty zippers, not those little wimpy zippers that hang up easily. Just my $.02 worth.

Awwww ****!!! I thought we got away with it. I knew we shouldn't have taken him. Just kidding. Really enjoyed meeting you and riding with ya. I was behind you for a while, and from where I was sitting, it looked like you were doing pretty well. By the way, did you write youself a ticket too...

    FJRF003.0: Ignition Failures on FJRs

I had a slightly different problem with my ignition switch. The soldered wires were OK. The problem turned out to be a sticky contact. Notice how the spring loaded contact is cocked sideways. I used a razor blade to free it up, and no more problems.

North Georgia FJR Rally!! Mark your calendar!

Calimus and I will be heading up tomorrow evening. My goal is to be there before dark. The forrest rats scare the hell out of me. Plus, it is easier to set the tent up with a little daylight.

    Shooting guns from the FJR

I wouldn't worry about it, they're French. I'm surprised they are actually shooting guns. Maybe they are practicing shooting while riding so that they can shoot as they flee.
