    Pulled the trigger on a 2006 FJR1300

The power commander is all kinds of worth it. It runs so much better. The g2 does not really address the problem, just bandaids how you interact with it. Powercommander is Worth every cent and evident every mile, on a stock bike. Definitely one of the best mods I've done to any bike. Gone...

    Pulled the trigger on a 2006 FJR1300

Congrats! I had an 06 myself. I HIGHLY recommend a Powercommander. Amazing how much that little device improved the riding experience. Throttle response smoothed out so nicely, gone was the abrupt on/off throttle that plagued mine. Most noticeable in the twisties.

Lowest temp you have ridden 10 plus miles in

Well, as the thread goes,,, what be da lowest temp you have ridden over ten miles in? Last week I set a personal record of 22 miles in 28 degree night time weather~! Not too bad behind the V-Stream windscreen with the Gerbings G2 gloves on (NOT POWERED at the time cuz I roll like that...

    PowerSportSuperstore.com

I just made my second order from www.powersportsuperstore.com and I am just as happy with them as before. Actually, scratch that. I'm happier with them now than I was before. Not often do you find a place that repeats itself with good experiences and does even better the second time. I...

    Frame Sliders

LOL! For $25 you can save hundreds of $ resulting from the UNEXPECTED tip over. It goes w/out saying that, for the most part, nobody intends to drop their bike.. but if and when it happens...... My GSXR sunk into the asphalt on the gap and did a left side tip over. Caused damage to all...

    Rev'It Freestyle Boots

I just picked up a pair of Rev'It Freestyle boots from my local dealer. First pair of Rev'It's so I'm not sure about the longevity. I do understand the Rev'It brand is fairly high end and several riders in the store at the time of purchase gave the brand their blessing. I liked them because...

Something All FJR Owners Should Know

Well if snappin the gas is a power wheelie then mine will to. Through two gears. Then the front comes down and that long wheel base makes it feel like it hurts the bike. Not a crotch rocket,,, not a crotch rocket,,, not a crotch rocket,,, I consider a power wheelie the kind that will walk...

Something All FJR Owners Should Know

Well, if ur lofting the front wheel easily enough to concern you when passing, at speed I'm assuming, then I cant buy into a bad leak down problem. My 06 has 6k on it and it will not loft the front wheel on it's own. I'm aware of the wheel base / gear change on Gen II, however, a power wheelie...

Something All FJR Owners Should Know

I'm ultra sorry to hear about this mess!!! I'm sure the five star tech checked into other possibilities of leakdown gremlins... like the valves / valve seats / valve seals? I mention this because a buddy of mine had a TL1000R that had a bad leakdown prob that was fixed by having his valves...

RAIN X on windshield and helmet visor ?

I've applied Rain-X on my clear shield for my Arai helmet many a times with great results. Shield is clear as it was when new with no probs. I actually keep a small bottle w/ me on long trips incase of a rain storm. Irreplacable in the rain. Never did the windshield or a tinted face shield.

    Beallsville Diner

I was just in SE Ohio during June. I ate at a tourist trap Amish restaraunt that was billed as THE destination to eat at.. Food was good, but not memorable. Actually, it was at the bottom of the good eats list on the trip. Wish I would have read this post before then... Love those mom & pop...

    Feedback on service dept??

Greetings! I am going to have the computer service bulletin performed on my 06 FJR and I was looking for some feedback on the service department at Rich's Yamaha in Lockport, IL... Any one ever go there for any service and if so.... how'd they do? Any specific mechanic I should request? I...

Holeshot 4-2 Header System vs stock exhaust

It's official, Larry has the coolest and most farkle-fied FJR I have ever seen!!! :clapping: It was kinda neat how easy the DB killers were removed / replaced. Their removal and replacement changed the "sound" of the exhaust much more than the sound pressure readings showed. I thought...
