    Dropped her again :(

I'ved dropped it twice, the second time very gently and with frame sliders so no damage. Bottom line is you can NEVER relax. You must pay close attention whenever you come to a stop, to the terrain, the sidestand and to what you are doing. Sorry for the damagef. I know how you feel.

    Used FJR Price Advice

If you are a mature person (you sound like you are) the FJR is ok in my opinion. It is much much heavier than you are used to which is an issue only at low speeds and when stopped or stopping. Lots of us have dropped them in the driveway so be very careful when stopping and moving it around...

    Well It Finally Happened

Been there, done that. Frame sliders. They work.

    seduced by the FJR

Ditto the throttle rocker. Works great for fine throttle control. I have a power commander that smooths the throttle response on my 06 FJRA

How old are you FJR riders?

I am a young 67. My girlfriend won't get on the bike with me.

    Buy a 2005 or 2006?

I have an 06 with ten thousand miles and LOVE it. Heat was fixed and is no problem. Twitchy throttle was resolved with a PCIII which I would get sooner rather than later. You will never be sorry you got this bike. I have heated grips and will be nice in winter in Virginia when my bike is in the...

    Almost dropped

Now that I have dropped it twice I am VERY careful about where I stop and ground slope etc. Never in a lot without firm level base. Never parked in neutral. Sliders sure helped the second time.

    Forgive my ignorance

What does FJR stand for?? Where did the designation come from if not an abbreviation? Love my FJR 06

    Damn, I Love this bike

Every time I walk by it in the garage I give her a pat and tell her "Mighty FJR". I am sure she hears me and understands and appreicates my adulation.

First Drop - Why don't I feel bad?

I got it in reverse. I dropped my son's new R1 a couple of years ago with minor damage to the fairing. I fixed it like new. He went to Iraq, just got back, is now in Hawaii and about to learn to fly helicopters for the army. I miss riding with him but hope to be able to one of these days. I...

    Gravel Devil ate my 07

Glad you are ok. Did you have frame sliders on the bike?

    Dropped this top-heavy PITA today

Once that sucker gets a little sideways it sure as hell lets you know how heavy it is. I have dropped mine twice. Second time my frame sliders saved the day. Now I am just so damned careful everytime I stop or am about to stop anywhere that I hope it will never go down again. I'm 5'7" and one...

    D*&%$#@T Strikes Again!

Been there, done that. Now I have frame sliders. Boy am I careful with that kick stand now- ALWAYS check it twice. Bike is still a joy to ride.

    Thinking of FJR

I have an 06 A model with about 8000 miles. LOVE the bike. Inseam 29. BARELY flat foot it using a little imagination. I dropped it at zero mph before the frame sliders came in. Get the frame sliders. A joy to ride especially if you lean toward (no pun intended) sportier side. Doubt you would...

    Saddlebags- On or Off?

On all the time. Commute and they carry all my stuff. Can't tell the difference in performance or handling.

With great regret I am hanging up my boots

Each of us has to do what we are comfortable doing. I do not ride in NYC traffic nor would I but I do commute to work on a busy three lane. The bike is so steady and handles so well I feel safe on it. By the same token, I keep as far from cars as I can and always know who is behind me and how...

    Mature Riders and FJR's

Just turned 65. Went and signed up for medicare the other day. 06A. Love it. The handling, the power and I think it is beautiful. Farkled with power commander, corbin, headlight modulator, gps and electric grips. Hope it lasts forever (forever for me I hope is at least 15-20 yrs.) Hope to...

Lowering help for a new guy and an '07

I am about 5'6" with 29 in inseam. Got the corbin seat which helped a little. However, as I rode it more, got more used to toes down on each side. If you are careful you can ride safely. I am now comforable on it but be careful where you stop, especially do not park front end down where you...

New forum member & considering switch from cruiser to FJR- need help

Price on the 06 sounds really good. If not down and runs well, can't imagine that it would not be a good buy. I got the YES too just in case. I and some others found the throttle on the FJR to be a little twitchy and I have a power commander that made a significant improvement in that area. Also...

New forum member & considering switch from cruiser to FJR- need help

Try to find an 06 as I do not believe there is any difference except the color. Have you seen the color in person? I liked it alot better in the dealer than in photos. I am an MD, 65 and cannot flat foot my 06 FJRA but love it none the less. You will almost certainly love the FJR. Call some...
