    Nevermind.

    Dunlop Roadsmart Street/ST Tires

Just noted something else. I was reading the official Dunlop website and caught this: "MT-Multi-Tread compound rear tire incorporates a long-wearing compound in the center of the tire tread and a lateral-grip compound on each shoulder to maximize cornering performance and provide...

    Dunlop Roadsmart Street/ST Tires

Just got a mailer from Motorcycle Superstore with $20 off purchase of $200 or more, coupon code C408CTLG20, good through 7/21/08.... I've bought tires from them before and have been happy with the process. Haven't used the others. Have no affiliation with any of them.

    Skyway's Garmin 2730 GXM 30 Mount

Allrighty then. I could just see myself forcing them on then having y'all fall over laughing, saying, "You WHAT?!?" :yahoo:

    Skyway's Garmin 2730 GXM 30 Mount

Got mine in the mail, thanks! I'm not sure that I'm figuring out the red plastic things, which I assume are the thumb screws. Do they fit OVER the socket cap head screws? If so, how much force does that take? I'm looking at them now, and I'm sure not clear...

Anybody making a gadget / ECM shelf for '06 and up?

Cool, looks good. I dropped an email his way two weeks ago, still no answer. I'll drop another one tonight. Not a lot of info on the brydenscot.com web site, not a cood way to contact. Good looking shelf, though.

    Stem nut supplier

Damn -- that's pretty close to what I've been looking for. Just orderd six parts from them for two bikes, all because of your link. You should ask them for a cut..... Thanks for the tip.

Anybody making a gadget / ECM shelf for '06 and up?

I've found some for up to '05, but not '06 and up. Looking for a small shelf for GPS, XM radio, etc.

AE Pilots - Shifting technique - blip the throttle or not?

All italics are mine ---- Interesting. I read the "A" manual online before I bought the bike, I never read the "AE" paper manual that I got to compare. (Yeah, my bad!) In the same pages, same context, the "A" model manual says: "Always use the clutch while changing gears to avoid damaging the...

AE Pilots - Shifting technique - blip the throttle or not?

That pretty much says it all. Do you blip the throttle while upshifting, or just hold steady and let the elctronic chip do it's thing? I enjoy riding mine either way, was wondering what other real-life riders do.

    Throttle Spring Danger

Fred :D helped me out on my new AE, we did the barbarian mod, fred h. shim, and dropped center spring changes. All that I can say it that it's a brand new bike. MUCH, MUCH nicer to ride, smoother, I don't even think about the throttle in low-RPM 1st or 2nd gear situations anymore. I...

    Help !! AE or A??

I've got one of the new AE's and I like it a lot, I rode both and haven't regretted the decision. You learn to do some things differently, in my opinion. In stop and go traffic, it rules. Having the left hand essentially always free is nice. It handles the clutch engagement for you, so...

    Cee Bailey Windshield

I installed a +4+0 non-flip ("conventional"?) yesterday and I like it a lot already. Some greater reflection, but the quality is light years better. I took pictures to compare, will post if anybody cares.

    Smoother riding

Yeah, they make a sweet ride. The Burgman and BMW are both on the block to be sold to help defray the cost of the new FJR, unfortunately. I've got eight registered vehicles now, have to get it back down to six. Damn $$$$. I never got to ride a 650. How's the pushbutton...

    Smoother riding

For what it's worth I agree with all of your observations. I have to claim ignorance on "The rear tire will light up and the front end will come off the asphalt" part due to my own respect (ok, fear) of the bike. This is the bigged, baddest, and ONLY brand new back that I've owned, so I'm...

Audiovox CCS-100: Electric servo rather than vacuum?

I was passed this website for a source of electric-serve cruise control units. I haven't compared them yet with the setup of the Audiovox. Just presenting the information here for discussion, if anyone's interested. :D

    Kisan signalMinder install

Kisan's website talks about three small springs that can be installed in the grip switch to take care of this. Has anyone attempted this installation on a FJR before? I've got a spiffy new '06 AE, and the lack of self-cancelling turn signals (like I've had on other, cheaper bikes :rolleyes...

    Got me a FJR!

Picked up my '06 AE yesterday, about to go put a few miles on it. First two questions: 1) Is it supposed to come with an owner's manual? Didn't notice until I got home that it didn't. It came with a "mounting side bags" booklet that fooled me until I looked closer. I DID get the third case...
