Not bad for a left-handed post.

Keep it up Don, you/she can do it!

Jeeze, Mark! I'm all for encouraging Don on the path back to full health, even as he PWI (now that he's home). But there is something troubling about MALE forumites cheering on all that he may need to do left handed. (Made worse knowing his screensaver is gonna be an oversize goalie riding something so lithe.)

Communicated with the Old Irishman today.... Here is the latest.... He is going in for an outpatient procedure to re-position one of the screws that is holding a bone in his shoulder. The screw is protruding out and causing him significant pain. The procedure will be under general anesthetic and should allow him to be out and on the way home in about four hours. He currently has very limited movement in the shoulder and arm.

He got his leg immobilizer off the other day and hopefully he will soon be more ambulatory.

He is struggling with his spirits.... Pretty down sometimes.... This is really tough on a guy that lives motorcycles and loves to ride.

Hang in there, Don. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and such. After all, it's not like you live in perpetual non-riding winter locales like New Brunswick or Boston! You'll be healed and riding by the time they're done shoveling.

Hey Don, Hope you get better soon! Think of it this way, we're all thinking of you... ...let's just leave it at that. :)
Thanks Mark and FJR Forum Friends, I appreciate your well wishes. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but it may be up to a year away. Therapy HURTS!!!

It doesn't hurt as bad with really good drugs but you forget where you were and have to start over. Keep at it my friend and all will sort out.

Down some of that "Mothers Maiden-Milk from Ireland", you'll be riding again real soon!... I hear it has secret healing powers :)

And you know what else goes really good with that Smitt-icks??? Yuuup, Pizza

PT does not stand for Physical Therapy, it stands for Pain and Turture. Do what they tell you, you hear. :)

Hey Don, hope you are healing well. I've found it helpful to plan a ride as a goal/reward for getting back to health. Take the doctors time estimate, divide by two and have yourself squared away by then. No reason you can't be in as good or better shape than before the off. I'm kind of an expert at the whole self mutilation by motorbike thing.

Yeah, physical therapy hurts. But it works, so get yourself a sweetie with soft eyes and call her 'motivation'.

You'll sweat and grunt for her in ways you never thought of.

Get well, brother. Nobody here knows how to tell a decent dirty joke.
