Bad news today, totally surprised me, my mechanic says the 04-05 FJR won't start due to low compression. Looks like the Donor ***** will soon be dressed with plastic again and put into full service. I think I will part out the 04-05 unit, save a few pieces like wheels.
I wonder if anyone will notice the new plastic Ken. It didn't seem to matter to anyone when you ran it stripped-down. Not even you!!!!

Keep Going!

Blufjr, could you pls make me a 150K miles '07 Club logo, I earned it this morning :yahoo:
As you request Mr. JamesK in Tokyo. Congrats to you and your bike.

Thanks Ken, loved every minute of that 150K, here's hoping to hit 200K without major issues.
I would like to see your "Places ridden maps"

Congrats on a great milestone !
I covered a reasonable portion of the US while I lived over there, but there are still plenty of places I'd not had the time and money to get to, one day I hope... And have been actively exploring Japan as time and money permits, it's a damn site more expensive to ride over here, everything from 2-3x more for tires, gas and expensive tolls on the hwys, when you need to use them.

blufjr...could you please move me up to the 100,000 mile club.I finally reached 100K last weekend.

Most of my friends and guys I work with can't believe I put 100k on one bike, but checking into this thread I feel like a pup looking out the window at the big dogs.

Good job Den! Knowing the crappy roads around your place, that's a real accomplishment :D

I'm about 4000 miles short of 100K. I was hoping to bag it this year but it'll be next spring for me. Snowing out right now :(

My bike has never been on a trailer, and never will, unless it's busted or stolen. How about I just ride it to Cali in the spring?

Den ( it is Den right?)

SkooterG handles the updates. Your 100K 04Club icon can be found here.

Like I said blasphemy, but I'd make an exception when the road is impassible, still I proudly display a sticker on my rear fender that reads: "If you see my bike on a trailer, call 911".

In 150K my FJR experienced a trailer only 2 times, once when they picked it up to ship to Japan and the second when my R/R burned out in BFE somewhere at the Western Most Point of Japan (figures right), I hate that Murphy guy :glare: I was quite upset that I didn't have a chance to ride back home.

It would have taken over a week to order and receive a new R/R out there, and I had to be at work the next day. So had to take pretty much every form of public transport known to man to get home: hitched a car ride, caught 2 different buses, a train, a plane and a taxi  My FJR was picked up by a road service I subscribe to and delivered to a near-by dealer about a 2 weeks later, where I installed the new R/R.

List updated. It was LONG overdue. Sorry.

Added TWELVE FJRs to the 100k list! :clapping:

Added JamesK to the 150k list. Highest mileage 2007 FJR!!! First Gen II on the list! :clapping: :clapping:

A HUGE Congrats to 03silverbullet for joining the Kool Kids Klub in the 200k list!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Finally hit 155,000 on my 2004

Still running my original valve shims....checked every 26k but I do believe I will be changing a couple at the 156,000 mile check

John

My'04 turned over 100,000 original in June in Hereford Oregon. Met Rog&Deb that night by sheer luck in a restraunt in John Day Oregon. Great place for a Rally.

Still in love with her after all these years.

Those 04's just keep a rolling.

Last day of the season for me today. Finished it with 156,016km. Just shy of 100,000 miles.
