I've gotta lot of catching up to do.

This happened April 2012 on my 2007 FJR, bought in May 2007. Not miles though.
Mine did the same thing crossing the desert between the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Kanab Utah at dusk. I was going to stop and take a picture but I had some jackwagon in a white pickup towing a trailer who refused to pass about 3" off my ***. I(#^&@%#^@

When he finally did pass he got nailed by the cops sitting in a gully about 5 minutes later LOL! KARMA BABY!

Mine will roll over to 163KM (100,000 miles) sometime in June. I was shooting for last October, but the entire month was pretty much unrideable.

Almost to the first wrung of the ladder already!

At the pace you are riding it will be a quick and steady climb. Congrats on your riding !

I must ask with those kind of miles; are you a long distance/big trip rider or a ride all the time rider?

Thx!

Most of my riding is made up of multi-day trips. I have trouble wanting to get out for just a few hours around home. But on longer trips ... I get in a zone and go and go ... day after day.

Im in southern Ontario. Last season my longest trip was to the west coast including Vancouver, Lolo, Glacier. Other trips last season were ... around Lk Superior, a SS around Lk Huron, a fall trip to Key West, the Moonshine SS, a Ct trip, an Adirondacks & Catskills loop, lots of Muskoka (central Ontario)... more that escapes me at the moment.

I haven't been on the forum very long yet but I recognize your screen name as an LD rider to look up to and learn from.

Cheers,

Mr. G,

I'm down to one FJR now. Parts and pieces from two bikes now make up one. After Crashing in 2012 with one bike, while the other was in the shop, then having a deer crash with the other taking out the entire front end plastics, sub frame, windshield, etc. Now the crashed bike's speedo doesn't work (might be illegal to ride without a speedometer????). I now have to move the speedo from the Dead bike over to the survivor bike, which used to be the donor bike, but now is the ridden bike. So here it goes: My ridder will have a odometer that starts at 143,331. Can I make 150K and 200K on this assembled mess?

Dude you really need to look around here a bit more.......

My guess is 03Silverbullet has the most miles on TWN's old 05 and he is well over 200K right now and the a several 13's on the east coast that 0 miles on them....

Was wondering who has the Lowest and who has the Highest mileage on their FJR??

Has to be the ORIGINAL motor.

I have 3,900 on a 2008, just bought it with 2,900 though.
I'm by no means one of the big dogs, but my '07 has 160k miles on the original engine, which is still running strong.

The only engine related things I've had to change have been, the Starter motor (at 142k), Stator and Cam Chain Tenssioner (as a precaution). The valves have never been out of spec.

You are right in that he does need to look around here a bit more.

But my guess is there is one guy who has more miles than 03Silverbullet on TWN's 05 FJR. mvet (I think is his forum handle) has got to be near 250k on his 04 FJR. Wish he would post up here, as I believe he has bragging rights.

Though I do think 03Silverbullet is gaining on him.

Ya, I think mxvet is the winner, he mentioned on the other forum that this winter has been brutal and hasn't ridden much at all the past few months.

I think that is the amazing fact of the matter- He is from the Chicago area right? Dog gone where would he be sitting if he was a southern rider!

Bungie- looking forward to your 100k announcement

FWIW Skooter has over 400k on FJR(s)

Poor ol KrZy8 hasn't had even one solitary mile in over 2 months now...

:****:

How am I going to get past 200k if she sits in the garage with her heated blank on?
