Wanted to ride in the dirt today, but a new motorcycle accessory shop opened up in town and I got an invite from an FJR buddy here in Havasu. Once there, I ran into BlueFJR (you'll remember him and his wife in Page, AZ during the 2009 SW-FOG), Chris Martin (also a Forum member but not real active) and one of our Forum Administrators Adam (GalaxyBlue). The accessory shop turned out to be all about Harley's, so there wasn't much for me, but getting to see friends is always a good thing.

Returning home I was surprised to see the Power Tuner I had ordered that ended up being on back order, was delivered today. So I was able to really turn my ECU for maximum performance, not that it needed any additional power. It just runs really good. It warmed right up today must have been at least 85 degrees today. Felt kind of hot after the weather being so cold for the past few months. Looking at the weather report on my phone of Owosso, I see Bust had a really warm day with the High damn near reaching 27 degrees. I'll bet he spent the day sunbathing in the nude!

Bite me arse ya big Scorpion fuker. It's gonna hit mid 40's next week.

And yes... I will get naked and piss off the neighbors.

Dear mooks, if your machine is an OHV (off-highway vehicle, ie, dirtbike, side-by-side, 4-wheeler, etc) you may want to visit this site: https://www.stateparks.utah.gov/ohv/out-of-state-registration

According to what I've read and the VERY nice lady at the parks/rec office for the area around Moab, if your vehicle is PLATED FOR THE HIGHWAY where you're from you don't need any permits.

If your vehicle has an OFF-ROAD PERMIT from your home state then check their list...some states need 'em, some don't.

Last, if you RIDE LIKE BIGD OR BEEMERDONS, you may have to pay a "hazardous moving roadway obstacle" fine. That can be paid to your fellow riders at the Moab Brewery...I'll show you where to pick up the tab. Thank you, that is all.

Don't forget the "Big fukin' whining baby" fine.

Or the "I'm so ugly my dog won't play with me" fine.

"Snores like a freight train" fine

"In bed by 8:30 pm but up at 0400" fine

And the ever important, "Sleeps cuddled up with Don in stained tighty whiteys" fine.

:****:

Yo Jarhead and ******* (basically the same thing!), Papa Chuy Viejo is all ready for Moab; I sewed one of these on the back of my jacket, another one is mounted on a bracket on my GS rear fender.

Sorry to say gents but I am going to have to bow out on this one. The tax man wasn't as kind as I was hoping he would be, and I have some other expenses I have to keep up with. A major bummer as I really enjoyed FODS '12, and hopefully I'll be able to make '14. Have fun, I'll be thinking of everyone having fun in the dirt(and too much after hours fun, behind closed curtains, hopefully, for the sake of others, by my interpretation of the last few posts, I've already rinsed my eyes out with bleach).

SaharaJp99, this photo of HotRodZilla was taken at the last FJR Forum Event we all attended.

I will try to get a better photograph of 'Zilla to send to you, preferably with a lot more ****age!

Its a bummer when anyone backs out for any reason, but we all know how fast things can change. I've got my daughters wedding this weekend, then only ten days after I have Moab. Two dates I've been excited about and careful not to allow anything to go wrong.

Then........................... I wake up six days ago sicker than a dog. I rush down to Urgent Care explaining how important theses upcoming dates are to me and to give me whatever necessary to get me a quick cure. So I got two shots, pills and cough syrup full of codeine and sent home to cured. Now, five days later and unless something magical happens, I'm afraid I'll be suffering and sounding like Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday the Lunger in Tombstone as I walk my little girl down the aisle. This "whatever" is kicking my ***.

However, I am marching on like the good soldier I am, excited for my Allison, the gathering of family & friends I have not seen in some long periods of time. I'll be happy if I can only refrain from coughing and gagging in that few short moments I am walking her down the aisle of captivity.

Returning home on Monday in preparation for my next journey into the valley of Jeep destruction and Mayhem. I did walk over to my neighbors house to discuss the wonders of Moab, who have been going there yearly for 20+ years with their specially designed jeeps and Rock Climbers, explaining how much fun a first timer will experience in Moab, advising me mostly about caution of how many hills and slopes can be deceiving and appear much less vertical than they really are, stay on trails and if you don't know exactly where you are going and the trail seems to vanish, take heed of that warning immediately that you could quite possibly be heading into trouble guaranteed to take you where you DON'T want to be and if you don't want to make instant enemies being on motorcycles, don't fly past 4x4 vehicles being loud, traveling too fast scaring people as you cover them and their vehicles with rocks and stones and everyone will get along just fine. They did point out that don't be surprised if the trails being utilized for the Jamboree will appear Cluster-**** like with congestion. But also there are many opportunities to go watch the real crazies destroy beautiful machines trying to "one-up" the competition climbing what appears to be insurmountable odds climbing up steeper than vertical walls of rock and what appears to be right up the devils ***, Makes for some fun times knowing its not your money being trashed and pulverized into heaps of twisted metal, mostly leaving the pilots unschafed for another day. They ended with, you'll love Moab, it's a wonderful and beautifully stunning place. Oh, watch for rain when you travel and snow in the higher elevations, bring warm clothes just in case and finally, take the time to travel through Arches National Park, its amazing.

What some do in their off-time is entirely their business so long as they keep their hands and thoughts to themselves.

I got some kinda weird email asking if I'm still going to Moab after all the Forum shenanigans. The Forum changes don't really hurt my feelings that much and have absolutely NO effect any rides I'm going on.

I'll be there. I'm gonna leave that Victorian number at home, as shaving my legs like that chafes in my dirt pants.

Sorry if any of you freaks will be disappointed....About the dress. Not me going. :****:

Please please please take pictures and post up guys. I'm visiting this incredible place vicariously through you.

Counting down the days.
