So, you think the outdoor dining part will be chillier than the temps with the 80mph wind chill we'll be experiencing on the way there? Thanks for the heads-up!

True, but you forget that you'll not be dining on your Heatolater, Feej!

TWN,

I plan on being there whether I can eat or not. Just want to meet more of the Clan. I do know some of them from WFO-4. I will be riding up from Rancho Cucamonga. If anyother southern CA riders have a rally point and time, please let me know about it and if you are interested in another rider, I will join up. :assasin:

my wife and i will be staying at the casino near solvang and leave sunday morning. we would like to leave with a group sat morning from orange county and suggested everyone from san diego and orange to meet at the spectrum at the 5 and 405 freeway intersects. there is a big ferris wheel we can meet in front of at around 7am. if anyone has a better staging place or time voice it soon.

Dave, it is good to hear from you. I had not seen any of your posts since you referenced a visit to the m.d. As the objectives of ECV are well known: Members swear to take care of the widows and orphans -- especially the widows, it is good to know that you are able to keep up the good work. Several of us are heading up from Socal and a meeing point will undoubtedly be agreed upon by the time we ride.

WILCO Dave! Good to hear you'll make it!

By the way, you better start to de-farkle your 'old' FJR now so that by the time your AE gets here you can start to rewire all of your geegaws and the miles of wire that go with them!

Put me down as going. I'll probably hook up with you guys at Jack in the Box on Victoria Ave in Ventura if that's still happening. Seem like most of the So Cal people are coming from Orange County so maybe I can hook up with them.

As far as the pier it's on, there's the Hartford Pier and the Avila Beach Pier? Which one should I be aiming for?

It's actually on the Hartford Pier, where all the commercial fishing boats are based. Stay on the main road until it dumps you into a parking lot. You can drive out onto the pier to look for parking, but it's scarce out there.

Madmike is having trouble logging onto this forum and asked me to report that he will not be making this ride. Bummer. He is back on the night shift temporarily at work.

TWN, DKirk and I will plan to join up with you at Ventura rally point around 0830 19 November, if that is ok to drag along some other FJRs. If you do not have a sweeper in mind, then I would volunteer for the job. Have previous experience over the years. Please let me know if we can join your pack. thanks. Also, we have motel reserved in Morro Bay. :assasin:

Night shift? Tell him the lunch is in the AFTERNOON! What's the problem? Eve- "Oh, that's sad. He makes it fun".

Let's just say he hates waking up in the emergency lane ( again ), really loves the Bot dots though ! :D 12 hour days ( nights ) have a way of making a 6 hour ride a thriller !! ;)

Especially 12 hour nights that start at midnight. You know the drill, our company philosophy is: "When you can do it all, you get to!"

I'm going to miss you guys...y'all have a great time.

Hmmmm, I should be in Fresno around 0400, switch trailers and head North by 0430 or 0500. I could meet the Toecutters for breakfast @ Herndon and 99..... :)

Mmmm, Klein's...I would, but I don't think Eve wants to see you THAT bad. We don't need to leave until about 10:00 to make Avila by 1:00. But seriously, it won't be the same without you. Sleep well...

Yeah, the offer was half in jest. I wouldn't want anyone to get up that early if they didn't have to. There'll be plenty of other, uhm, er, personalities at the lunch stop. Lots of friendships to renew. If you get a chance, follow "Mr. Smooth" :D and see how many of your recent lessons you can put into practice.

@ Weekend rider, there should be a few Sacramento riders headed that way (one of us is wimping out--something about sleep deprivation).
