If you have never changed the CCT in the past, then yes do it. If you have one with a blue or green dot on it, then it was changed and you don't need a new one unless you want to. Yes to Mr. Piehart's advice, your engine must be cold so you have to arrive Friday nite and leave the bike. It needs to cool several hours...

RzrBak, yes you should change the CCT at the same time. Also that motor needs to be cool/cold when you work on it so plan ahead.
OK, thanks. I'll get it ordered. The bike will be as cold as ice... was planning on riding but now I'm planning on trailer(ing) it to Tech Day.

. She's never been on a trailer and I'd much rather ride there. At least now I can bring a few other things too!

OK Boys and girls. It looks like it will be a rainy day again for my tech day. I am going to try rigging a tarp to extend the working space into the driveway. I already have 4 bikes in the garage! I will be moving them to outdoor storage.

Here is the updated list:

PJ4683 - valves and forks

RFlagg42- Observe/assist

FJRPittsburgh - valves
Trevor - Maybe
Burnspot - Observe/assist

In Altoona, PA..... beer is cold and the rye is flowing...... All is good. Wait till we get into the margueritas just down the street...... ETA Friday mid-afternoon, dunno 3-ish. Canadian Invasion Forces will set up basecamp.

Just so long as I don't get any water into my rye whiskey. That would be a crime.

Trevor and I will be there tomorrow between 3 and 5. See you all there. I don't suppose we'll run into the Canadians as they're already 2 hours East of us.

I had a margarita in Pennsylvania that was better than any I ever had in Phoenix (BeemerDons is now rolling in his grave). Then again I don't remember ever being in Phoenix and from what I understand that is probably a good thing....

The chimichanga was also excellent...

Since it is supposed to rain I will be caging it up. Plan on a 6:00 AM departure from Chesapeake VA. Google maps is telling me 2.5 hours via 17. See you all sometime between 8:30 - 9:00.

Thank you for the complimentary bike wash...

As long as there aren't many weather-related kerfuffles on the highway, it ought to be good.

I am out. I am thoroughly over spending the entire day riding in the rain. 2 trips this season? Rode all day in the rain for both. I realize that it comes with the territory & I'm not complaining... but just not feeling it. Thanks once again Bob.
