Dammit. Do you have any idea how hot Hwy 287 in NW Texas is at the end of July? I am struggling with this one right now.
Are you going to look for excuses or solutions? All loaded up for SW-FOG 2014 in Cedar City and cussing the wife all the way until we went through Colorado at 24 degrees and 3/4 inch of snow slush.https://s784.photobucket.com/user/kevinbernier/media/IMG_20231_zps8jh3foy3.jpg.html] [/url]
Yeah, but RFH drives a Chevy. He'll never make it out of Louisiana.
Hey RFH, read my lower quote. FJRob said it best!

Oh yeah...And you just got called a wenie...By a GIRL!

Tyler is a full grown woman. She can call me a weenie if she wants to.

Honestly, I just wish she would call me.

Pop and I are in discussions now over exactly where and when we will go this year. Obviously, this is one of the focal points of those talks. All it takes is time and money.

Montrose in a nutshell, please plan accordingly.

There's no way to plan accordingly at this point for the weather. First time I rode 141 around naturita headed down to Durango and it was miserably hot at over 100 degrees. Second time through the area perfect mid 80's. Aug 2014 kept the heated gear turned on most of the ride in that area. It SHOULD be really nice, but with high elevations anything can happen. Montrose is 5800 feet BTW....

I don't want to hijack, nor do I want to get lost.....

I know it's only January, but I'm beginning to plan my ride. What is the best way to coordinate riders, or at least throw the option out? I'm looking at leaving from western New York on July 26th, and camping on the way out. I will be riding 2-up, and wouldn't mind connecting with other riders on the way out.

Your best bet would be start a new thread in the NAFO forum where those of us in the northeast who plan to go can plan our trip. At this time I do plan to go, but I'm not sure of my schedule or even if I'm riding out.

Thank you Geezer. I will do just that in a month or two when my plans are a little more clear.

Room booked.

Knowing HRZ is a lousy cook, I may skip the meal.
